The rush to judgement and the gotcha game is nothing new in post 9/11 American politics and policies involving internet media. Baron Hill is small potatoes. The context from which he speaks at this meeting is but a tiny snippet of the entire event at that location on that day in response to a single question. However, let's take a somewhat closer look at what he could have meant, given the Youtube segment as the only body of evidence from which we could judge if he is guilty of anything. For, if in fact, he was to go to trial WE THE PEOPLE would want a fair trial, I am sure.
Exihibit A: Baron Hill states: "this is my town hall meeting! " The falure to use a plural instead of singular possessive pronoun would be detrimental if there were no other town hall meetings being conducted at or around the same time across the country. He is not proclaiming, in fairness, he owns any person, place or thing. He is only making a distictive reference to the proceedings - ie. Barney Frank town hall meeting etc..
Exihibit B: "I set the rules" refering to no cameras with clarification of his reason for such rules. Those in attendence gave an audible unfavorable reaction to the rule of no filming. He then went on to say:
Exhibit C: "you're not going to tell me how to run my congressional office!" Did he foresee a problem with cameras being used unfairly? Could he then justly anticipate the chaos this would cause in his office if someone would try to damage his reputation with an unfair fragmented piece of video.
It is what it is, an open and closed case.

I'm not surprised that he doesn't want to be exposed on Youtube. Politicians are used to softball questions from interviewers. They are finding that there are a lot of Americans that are tired of being played for fools. Americans who are tired of being robbed for the benefit of special interests - as in the bail outs.
