OK, I post this with the fleeting hope that some troll does not comment using the word "zionist", which I contend is undefined beyond the word "jew" and has yet to be uttered by someone other than an anti-semite.
However, DPer's should be concerned that MSNBC pulled Pat's article because people claim it "defends" Hitler.
I haven't read Pat's article but I am familiar with the many arguments that Hitler's war ambitions grew as his hand was forced by others including Roosevelt.

On the use of "Zionism" discussion:
While I agree that there is a technical, historical distinction between the words "Zionist" and "Jew," the word has taken on a resonance of it's own.
Read how it is used on DP and on youtube comments.
The historically accurate use of the word has become a victim of the daily use of the word. It is like if people went around saying "those Garveyites on welfare drive me crazy...now that there is a Garveyite president I hope they are happy...how come the Garveyites get their own beauty contest." We would come to understand they are not refering to a political movement but a people.
I feel the same way about it as I do the stars and bars...for years I was so frustrated with the political revision and reactions to the confederate battle flag...but then I had to admit, well it was probably used more in the south during the 1960's than in the 1860's. The modern usuage for better (but mainly) worse has eclipsed the historical.

Buchanan has supported an even-handed approach
to Israeli-Arab conflicts. To the Israeli Lobby this is unacceptable and is why he's attacked.
They've wanted his scalp for sometime and will probably get it.. To his credit he has not been intimidated, at least not continually.
The anti-semite charges are just a means to defeat any and all who dare to disagree with their views and goals. The easiest thing to do is keep quiet. It takes courage to publicly differ.
The American Israeli Lobby does not represent the thinking of all Jews here and in Israel, but that doesn't seem to matter.
As to the substance I believe Hitler absolutely didn't want war with the British, French, and the Americans, but had aims to the East(Lebensraum). Eventually Germans would have marched East.

I'm not badgering you, I have read Pat's research, and much of it is "food for thought", because much of it has no way to disprove.

It was a different point of view on the war. I thought it was there to illustrate the retarded outcomes of entangling alliances. But I guess if you mention Hitler you have to put him into that cartoon type bad guy light as a crazy diabolical mad man out to control the entire world and kill all the jews. I don't know why it still amazes me that people don't understand the way the first world war ended caused the troubles that led to second world war, especially the way borders were redrawn.

You have to assume what is in a persons head, without any direct evidence. So most History, outside of dates, and names, is not fact at all.
Who knows what was in Hitler's mind at the time. Those who want to believe that he was just a crazed pyschopath are missing alot. In particular, the number of people, including the Bushes, the Kennedys, Henry Ford and the Rockefellers that found his political philosophy interesting.
