The President is a figure head; Change starts in the House/Senate

Our main goal should be to drop the debate about the president. He is only as powerful as the legislative branch allows. If it democratic controlled, HE WINS. If we can aggressively move towards the 2010 term elections for those specific democrats up for re-election, we can balance the power. Anybody disagree?

I disagree - real change starts in your neighborhood
We have to take back this country block by block. We need to advance on City Councils, Police Juries, (county commissions in some states), School Boards, Public Service Commissions, State Legislatures. The only way to reign in the Federal Government is through the States. The States created it, and the States are going to have to fix it. True, we need liberty minded people in Congress. That won't hurt for sure. But without control of State governments, we are toast - tyranny here we come.
The President controls the
The President controls the agendas that Congress works on .. The President treaties away your rights ..The President controls martial law .. The President controls the military The President controls JUSTICE. Shall I go on ?
I guess you would say that it's not important for a President to have the same values & American up bringing as We the People ?
Good people do Good deeds
and are no respecter of person
Eyes wide shut.
Who controls the president?
I'll agree and disagree.
The president is a figure head....agree.
Change starts in the house/senate.....disagree.
Change starts with the people. Americans need to come to terms with two things before change can start/continue.
1. The government is a mafia, controlled by international banking interests. I hate it when I hear, Obama wants to do this, Bush did that...guess what...Obama is the spokesman, he does not write legislation, he does not write healthcare or any other bills and he doesn't even write his speeches. People need to look beyond the president, because he does nothing except recite the works of others. The mafia hates the people. Everything the mafia does is to protect them against the people, protect their power and protect/increase their wealth. The left/right paradigm is designed to divide and conquer the people. When I hear or read anybody blaming our country's situations on "those" dems or "those" repubs, I tune out. It is, US versus Them.
2. The media is the propaganda arm of the mafia (government). The media's job is to convince the people that the criminal acts of the mafia are really something else, usually the fault of we the people.
Once the people realize these two facts, the rest will fall into place.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Having a congress/senate
Having a congress/senate full of freedom fighters is much more important than having the right president. Although a Ron Paul in office would veto every bad bill, transform our society and speak out against unconstitutional bills and our rights taken away, etc...
Both important but at the moment we need to drop the president debate and focus on 2010 elections. We need to get as many liberty loving candidates in the house and senate as possible~
