Manchester Schools Opt Out Of Obama Speech -WMUR
"We've received numerous phone calls from parents, e-mails from parents," said Superintendent Thomas Brennan.
Brennan decided to pull the plug on the broadcast, saying that there wasn't enough time to get parental consent from parents, something district policy requires with an outside speaker, even the president of the United States.
"Initially, I was very concerned," Brennan said. "Then, I remembered we have the policy, and at that time it seemed simplistic. Consider him an outside speaker. Follow the rules." (watch the video- he is SMILING like the cat that ate the canary when he says this, LOL!)

"Charles Littlefield, superintendent of SAU 15, which includes Candia, Auburn and Hooksett, said district principals polled their teachers about the speech. "We quite frankly didn't find any teachers that were interested in participating, and we wouldn't make them participate," he said."

Looks like it would be very warranted ...
to show up and opt out of the speech until it is viewed by parents or at least the schools! It is a sad day when you have to tell your schools you do not trust or want our own president speaking to our kids! Looks like the appt. book is full on Tuesday Morning!
