Newsweek’s War on White People: “It’s horrifying to imagine kids being proud to be white.”
Newsweek just launched an all out war on the mental well-being of white children in their September issue. The article is titled “See Baby Discriminate.” http://cofcc.org/?p=6589 article demands, with religious fanaticism, that white children be made to shun all knowledge of racial differences and taught to feel guilty. Newsweek actually printed “It’s horrifying to imagine kids being proud to be white.” The Newsweek article actually states that white children should be made to feel guilty to “knock down their glorified view of white people,” while black children should be built up with “ethnic pride.” White parents, and only white parents, are called on to go to great lengths to brainwash their own children starting at age 3.

Growing up in Chicago
and attending our public schools has definitely, somehow instilled a sense of guilt and shame for having white skin. I can remember frequently having to defend myself and my Irish ancestry (which had no part in slavery but what I later found out to actually have a part in the underground railroad!)
There was always an atmosphere of sort designated sympathy if a person was black and although we weren't told to feel guilty we were white almost everyone felt just that way. Regardless, everybody put that BS aside and we were all good friends. No matter what color. But it is a perfect example of social conditioning which I have experienced first hand.
It's still a very common phenomenon amongst the people I know to feel guilty about being white skinned unfortunately. And many people I know say they would rather be black. I could care less about my skin color just as long as I have my freedom of mind I am fine.

The Irish had no part in slavery? I beg to differ...
When White servitude is acknowledged as having existed in America, it is almost always termed as temporary "indentured servitude" or part of the convict trade, which, after the Revolution of 1776, centered on Australia instead of America. The "convicts" transported to America under the 1723 Waltham Act, perhaps numbered 100,000.
The indentured servants who served a tidy little period of 4 to 7 years polishing the master's silver and china and then taking their place in colonial high society, were a minuscule fraction of the great unsung hundreds of thousands of White slaves who were worked to death in this country from the early l7th century onward.
Up to one-half of all the arrivals in the American colonies were Whites slaves and they were America's first slaves. These Whites were slaves for life, long before Blacks ever were. This slavery was even hereditary. White children born to White slaves were enslaved too.
Whites were auctioned on the block with children sold and separated from their parents and wives sold and separated from their husbands. Free Black property owners strutted the streets of northern and southern American cities while White slaves were worked to death in the sugar mills of Barbados and Jamaica and the plantations of Virginia.
The Establishment has created the misnomer of "indentured servitude" to explain away and minimize the fact of White slavery. But bound Whites in early America called themselves slaves. Nine-tenths of the White slavery in America was conducted without indentures of any kind but according to the so-called "custom of the country," as it was known, which was lifetime slavery administered by the White slave merchants themselves.
In George Sandys laws for Virginia, Whites were enslaved "forever." The service of Whites bound to Berkeley's Hundred was deemed "perpetual." These accounts have been policed out of the much touted "standard reference works" such as Abbott Emerson Smith's laughable whitewash, Colonists in Bondage.
I challenge any researcher to study 17th century colonial America, sifting the documents, the jargon and the statutes on both sides of the Atlantic and one will discover that White slavery was a far more extensive operation than Black enslavement. It is when we come to the 18th century that one begins to encounter more "servitude" on the basis of a contract of indenture. But even in that period there was kidnapping of Anglo-Saxons into slavery as well as convict slavery.
In 1855, Frederic Law Olmsted, the landscape architect who designed New York's Central Park, was in Alabama on a pleasure trip and saw bales of cotton being thrown from a considerable height into a cargo ship's hold. The men tossing the bales somewhat recklessly into the hold were Negroes, the men in the hold were Irish.
Olmsted inquired about this to a shipworker. "Oh," said the worker, "the niggers are worth too much to be risked here; if the Paddies are knocked overboard or get their backs broke, nobody loses anything."
Before British slavers traveled to Africa's western coast to buy Black slaves from African chieftains, they sold their own White working class kindred ("the surplus poor" as they were known) from the streets and towns of England, into slavery. Tens of thousands of these White slaves were kidnapped children. In fact the very origin of the word kidnapped is kid-nabbed, the stealing of White children for enslavement.
According to the English Dictionary of the Underworld, under the heading kidnapper is the following definition: "A stealer of human beings, esp. of children; originally for exportation to the plantations of North America."
Irish very much have a ~history of slavery~ in the United States... it just doesn't work very well with the official ~we all hated black people so we enslaved them~ line.

Historically, they were a group that the Democrats fostered and used to get back in power by killing Republicans... the majority of which at the time were black. It didn't have much to do with the color of thier skin... it had to do with thier party affiliation. Over a thousand white people were lynched by the KKK as well. A little fact that gets forgotten all the time.
And now we're watching the same party pointing fingers at white people and telling them they are racist...

Let's face it.
The media and gov't, while generally giving lip-service to being "color blind" is anything but color blind.
All the gov't services are bound-up from top to bottom in "affirmative action" and special perks, and easier entry to gov't jobs, lesser requirements, and on and on and on, and the whole "racial sensitivity training" and "anti-discrimintion laws", and "hate crimes", etc.
The gov't is as racist as it gets.
The media is the same way.
They don't report heinous crimes when minorities do them to whites. But, if a white does a crime to any minority, it's 24/7 headline news for days or weeks.
The media, and that linked article is a fine example, is engaged in racism from top to bottom.
But, like gov't, they pretend that they are "color blind".
But the color blindness only goes one way. It's just fine to discriminate against whites, propagandize against whites, and try to indoctrinate against whites, just like this clearly does.
On the other hand, most communities that have mixed-race components have very little problems from that, because they know each other, and view each other as people, and not as "demographic groups that need gov't intervention to equalize-out demographically".
So, the REAL racists are the gov't and the media, and they constantly legislate, judge, rule, enforce, and advertise, author articles, and publish generally racist points of view on a daily basis.
It should be obvious where the problem is.

Context?
We all hate it when an interviewer takes one line out of context with things about Dr. Paul. He got some flack last year about one of his newsletters, which he didn't write.
So, in a similar vein, I would to have seen the entire Newsweek article before leaping to any conclusions, or casting any allegations.

Some Context
I read the article and feel it's not quite as depicted above. Despite the title "See Baby Discriminate", it just tells us 6-month-olds will stare longer at photos of faces of a race different from their parents. Big deal.
One quote refers to white children who had learned how Jackie Robinson had been discriminated against. It caused them to "feel some guilt" "It knocked down their glorified view of white people." (I think that expresses the writers' feelings more than the childrens'.) I don't feel it suggests teaching kids to feel guilty.
It also said minority children who were warned often by their parents of racial discrimination were "much more likely to blame their failures on their teachers—whom they saw as biased against them."
It mentions "The way white families introduce the concept of race to their children" but doesn't tell us much except that people are uncertain as to how to handle it.
As to the "It's horrifying to imagine kids being "proud to be white." Again, I think it's a reflection on the writers' feelings. I'd guess the writers don't understand that whites don't think much about their own race, and are disinclined to see it as anything unique.
The writers mention their new book NutureShock, so they are really just trying to sell you something. Eh.

What's new? Isn't this what we've come to expect? Who talks about race today? The politicians and the media. Who constantly tries to get us to hate each other? The politicians and the media.
If Newsweek were printed in Germany in the Thirties, it would be Jews they were referring to. Newsweek is just another rag promoting hatred and dissension among the American people.
People shouldn't be proud to be white any more than they should be proud to be black. They had nothing to do with what color they are. They should be thankful to be American because we have the potential to restore freedom. At the same time, we should be ashamed of most of our politicians. They represent the worst of our society.
We can't take anything that comes out of their mouths seriously. And we need to realize that mainstream media is just propaganda. We need to be blind to skin color, and to realize that those who constantly make references to skin color are the enemies of us all.

but then again what better way to discredit the Constitution, the Bill of Rights etc. They we written by "white men" . Anyone read the book "White Cargo" by Don Jordan and Michael Walsh? Good read on the first slaves in Amerca, that were white. Some very intersting info on the how the racism between black and white was created and the reasons behind it. The age old story of divide and conquer. Too bad so many are so shallow and judge by color and not character. I am proud of being white and I am proud of my heritage and will always be. Everyone should be proud of who they are and their ancestors. Good and evil is not confined in any race with one being all bad and one being all good. I like the box of crayons with all the colors and all the colors in nature. Melt it all together and it wouldn't be very pretty. I guess this administration just wants to paint it black and to hell with everyone else. You'd think they would at least have a real black president and not a fifty-fifty.
