When British colonists put on the clothing of the Native American and walked out into the ships in Boston's harbor, they weren't there to protest peacefully or be law-abiding citizens.
The message they sent the King of England was simple: "If the law no longer protects our interests, it will no longer protect yours." They let him know that the days of a peaceful and law-abiding citizenry had come to a close in the face of evil and corrupt laws.
Fast forward to 2009. Conservatives and others angry at the recent government actions gathered en masse in many cities to protest peacefully and dubbed these events TEA Parties, but unfortunately the message they sent was far different: "We are unhappy with current government policy, but will continue to abide by the law and work within the corrupt political system."
This is about to change. Many citizens, upset at the lack of results from peaceful things such as voting, calling and writing government officials and even mass protests are about to turn to the time-honored American tradition of minor law-breaking in the form of vandalism and property damage.
No more Dem vs Rep, because they are one and the same, it should
be RIGHT VS WRONG
IT IS NOT A WASTED VOTE!
I may be
blind, if I am please correct me, but where in that article is anything said about Democrats or Republicans?
*Edit* It does but it is not pitting them against each other. It actually states that both parties were making it worse.
Watching
Obama's address tonight and even hearing Republicans saying a bill will pass sounds a lot like TARP and the Stimulas, massive vocal outrage but they continue on down the path regardless. What we are witnessing is the Hegelian Dialectic in full effect.
How do individuals respond? Where are we represented?
Well, the problem is we still
have a left vs right mentality and that is just plain dumb because that is exactly what they want. Until more people truly understand what is going on any unlawful activity will just take us from Marxism to Fascism and neither of them is worth fighting for.

IMHO has nothing to to with Democrats and Republicans. I follow the JBS linear political spectrum.

So to me it's a left vs. right thing for sure. Because over on the left is LESS freedom. Further to the right is MORE freedom. The Marxism and Fascism you speak of are both left political ideologies.

Neither party does much good when they are in power and they only really talk about the good things that they want to do when they are in the minority. It's all a farce to keep the people divided.

had a recent documentary about military weaponry - one of the first order of business for the DOD this past January 2009 was to develop and utilize a 100-kilowatt laser weapon. The gentleman speaking in the documentary chuckled as he said a 10 kw laser is capable of lopping off human limbs...

Pain Ray or Silent Guardian -Laser
When the U.S. military planned to deploy Raytheon's Active Denial System (ADS) in Iraq, it set off a political firestorm. How couldn't it?
Known for its "goodbye effect," the so-called "pain ray" is a "non-lethal" directed energy weapon that repels "rioters" and other disreputable citizens by heating the outer surface of the skin to 130 degrees F. in short, directed bursts. With a range of some 550 yards, the microwave beam can penetrate clothing and its effects have been described by test subjects as nothing less than "excruciating."
According to a blurb on Raytheon's web site, the commercial version of ADS known as Silent Guardian "is a revolutionary less-than-lethal directed energy application that employs millimeter wave technology to repel individuals or crowds without causing injury."
Touted as providing a "zone of protection that saves lives, protects assets and minimizes collateral damage" the system is marketed as the ideal tool to "establish intent and de-escalate aggression." Commercial and military application envisaged for the system "include law enforcement, checkpoint security, facility protection, force protection and peacekeeping missions." Some "peace," eh?!
****Capitalizing on the profit-rich "homeland security" market, Wired reported that Raytheon has announced an "impending direct commercial sale" of a miniature version of ADS to law enforcement agencies.
