This is what I sent to my represenatative and asked them to forward it on to Joe Wilson. Please show your support and do the same. Let the establishment know we are fed up.
I would like to say Thank You to Representative Joe Wilson for standing up for my rights as an American Citizen. I did not elect Obama and while I do believe that office deserves the respect of all Americans I also believe that office should respect the will of the American People. I am fed up with Obama craming more Goverment down our throats and spending the money of my children and grandchildren. Obama said during one of his speaches that "Americans need to Pick themselves up by their bootstraps" I agree. In conclusion when the day arrives that the president who is an elected official to represent the people of America can not be called out. That is a dark day as we are then looking at a dictator. You Rep. Joe Wilson said what all of America has been saying and it was about time he heard it directly. One of your jobs as a representative is to check and balance the office of the president. Thanks again for doing your job.

Just Called Joe Wilson's Office
Told the fellow I'm from PA and wanted to thank Wilson for speaking up last night. I said I don't know much about Mr. Wilson but I heard he supports Bush's and Obama's wars and he should be against big government war as well as big government health care.
I said I know you're getting a lot of calls today but tell Mr. Wilson that a Ron Paul supporter from Pennsylvania thanks him for speaking up last night.

Support the Positives
My whole point in asking people to support this action is not to say everything he has done is right but to let him know that this was right. Right in that he stood up for the people. Support the positives and help people see what it is we really want. I want my government to listen to the people, hear the people, and follow the peoples will. If you bash everything and refuse to support someone when they do something positive how are they suppose to know they have made a right decision and started down the correct path.
This man is no hero of mine.
Historically, he's been one major warmonger, and when confronted with his position supporting the Iraq war, he accused his questioner of "hating America".
Also, even though I didn't like the "politburo" atmosphere of the joint session address, but you still have to show some class and respect for the President and the Presidency.
Respect is Earned
Asking me to respect something or someone when they have shown they do not respect me, my family and Americans in general is a hard pill to swallow. The last time I checked respect was earned not given freely. Where has he earned my respect. How many times have Americans in great numbers asked him to please put on the spending brakes and all he does is ask congress to continue to put the peddle to the floor and spend, spend, spend!

After looking at his voting record, why would i support this piece of garbage? This was just to score short term political points, nothing more.
Then Tell Him That
If you like something someone did or said you can thank them for it without praising what you consider to be their faults.
Let him know you are a Ron Pauler for liberty, that he was courageous to speak up during Obama's speech but that he should rethink his support for big government wars that hurt the American people.

Thanks, I understand that some are upset with what he did but I am not one of them. The president seems to be ignoring the people and doing whatever he wants and I just believe that people need to start standing up and shouting it at him. He is not all powerful and should not be allowed to dictate his will on the mass if the mass does not want it. There are alot of Representatives and Senators that had to listen to it at their town halls, and I think it is time for the president to back off and listen to what "WE THE PEOPLE" want. I don't know about your area but I haven't seen any big rallys for the Health Care Bill, all I have seen is people standing up against it.

We already cover illegal immigrants. Just go to an emergency room in Miami, and you'll see. I don't think it's particularly fair to us, but what is the alternative? Through them out on the streets and let them die in the alleyways? Sorry, but I can't go for that either.

I haven't been active enough with calling and faxing like I should but I did send a thank you to Michelle Bachman for some of her statements on the floor. I think it's important to support these people who put themselves out there for us in any way. A simple thank you for being a patriot and sticking up for us is powerful. Better than beating up someone who doesn't vote the way we like. Maybe this could be a new strategy?
