It looks like Obama is going to slap a 35% tariff on imports of Chinese tires beginning Sept. 26th so I would suggest buying them before that date. I guess Obama wants to play with fire by angering the Chinese who own $2 trillion in U.S. dollar reserves. It will be interesting to see what China does in response to this.

Not related to story, but...Watch for the experation dates on new tires. If my memory serves me, its a group of 3 or 4 numbers in a circle, the last number being the manufacturers date. Usually located on the opposite side of the whitewall.
Some tires can sit for years in a warehouse while the rubber breaks down, and still look brand new. This can be hazardous because they tend to seperate and blow out after too many years of sitting.....
Eventually, everything will be made in China.
We didn't start the tires.......
