What was the Ron Paul presence at the tea party today?

0 votes

Sorry if this has been talked about before, but i don't feel like scrolling through every thread today looking for it, but any word on Ron Paul signs or anything that would suggest a segment at the tea party that was NOT neocon in flavor? Any antiwar flavor to the tea party today?? Or just another neocon love fest?

The Ron Paul folks couldn't resist

But it was primarily a neo-con thing. However, we had a better chance of reaching people today than ever. I sure hope this isn't wasted. Here's my crappy pics www.hideyourride.com/dcmarch

Oh I don't know. It looked like a Ron Paul Rally to me.

All I know is that there are two people, no three high profile people who have credit coming for today's 34 Tea Parties in at least 17 states...

1. Ron Paul started the conversation over thirty years ago.... and never gave up

2. Obama cornered and terrified the silent masses until they got off their couches.

3. And Glenn Beck... the budding Libertarian, gave massive TV and Radio air time -- mainstream -- to the cause of Restoring The Republic.

Here's to all the "early adopters" in the Ron Paul r 3VO_l ution.

"GINO" = Government In Name Only

I'm afraid I need to disagree

I'll give you #1 - although the conversation is still not close to what our revolution was about two years ago.

#2) Obama didn't "corner" and terrify silent masses. The Republicons and Neocons used their propaganda arms in the MSM to create a false fear and cause morons (and I do mean morons) that voted for Bush, twice, to run around screaming "socialism!" making a stink about health care while conveniently ignoring the FED and our military imperialism with stupid signs with words spelled incorrectly --- all of course causing our movement and the Ron Paul Revolution to be lumped in with "right wing nuts" --- which is of course what the majority of the nation now thinks. Nevermind that before all this RNC Tea Party stuff (stolen from us) Ron Paul was beginning to be respected and praised by members of both parties and treated well on television with an interview on MSM every day. Interesting isn't it??

#3) I almost can't dignify that one with a response. However, if you want to fall for an actor pretending to be libertarian for a few million dollars, so he can completely sabatage us at a later date, which he will - so be it.

Libertarians and the Tea Party

Posted by James Ostrowski on September 12, 2009 05:20 PM at the Lew Rockwell blog:

Here’s my take on the tea party movement so far. It’s been a successful coalition of conservatives and libertarians so far united by opposition to Obama and all his works. The sentiment in the nation right now is clearly anti-Obama.

The key point is, what is the tea party movement for? On that, there is no agreement and probably won’t be. If conservatives will repudiate eight years of Bushian big government, the coalition might persist. If not, the libertarians should very quickly go their own way lest they unwittingly lend their support to a restoration.

John Tate spoke.....

John Tate of Campaign for Liberty spoke at the Tea Party. I saw it live on CSPAN. He did a great job talking about liberty and the Fed. I did notice he did not mention Dr. Paul's name or any anti-war sentiments. I think it was because he was afraid he might get booed by all the Neo-Cons that were there.
