How do we get better political representatives?

How can we get a better class of people to represent us in government?
Here is a list of disqualifiers
BARRING A POSITIVE TRACK RECORD SUPPORTING FREEDOM
1) Never vote for an attorney.
2) Never vote for anyone who has attended or taught at an Ivy League University.
3) Never vote for anyone who has lived off the government teat.
4) Never vote for anyone who is or has ever been an MSM talking head.
Just considering the first three disqualifiers if taken seriously by the American people, there would have been no Bush, Obama, Clinton, Eisenhower, no Roosevelt, Wilson in the White House, and many more.
Anyone have any disqualifiers?

A parliamentary government would be far more representative than the present situation. It's ironic that there's more real representation, more parties in other parts of the world. But it's unlikely to happen because of the sentimental attachment to the 18th century and the creation of the "Founders". Until that ends improvement is unlikely.

Support a Constitutional amendment to limit the size of
Congressional Districts to no more than 50,000 people.
This type of amendment was the most requested during the ratification debates. The very first amendment submitted to the States for consideration, now known as Article the First, would have done just that. (it started with 30,000 but by now would be no more than 50,000)
Unfortunately the House and Senate versions did not agree in language, so the conference committee submitted a new version that no one noticed had the wrong word in it. This change essentially killed the amendment and it never passed. (even if we passed it today, it wouldn't change anything because of the error in the wording)
How many Congressman there are is not relevant. (though having a lot more has its advantages) What is relevant is the SIZE of constituencies. The founders were not willing to trust districts larger than 50,000 and they really would have preferred 30,000. Today, Congressional districts range in size from just over 500,000 to almost 1,000,000. No one person can represent that many people.
Smaller districts mean representatives are closer to the people and more responsive and responsible to them. As such, they would be less inclined to vote for more federal power and intrusion since it takes less people to vote them out of office. They will not only not be inclined to grow government, but would in reality have every incentive to reduce it back to what it was supposed to be.
An added benefit of smaller districts is more representatives. At the 50,000 limit, today we'd have just over 6,000 representatives. It would be infinitely harder for lobbyists to buy off 3001 Congressmen, than to buy of 217. It would also be more expensive on their part, and wouldn't bring as nice a return since the districts are smaller, it would be easier to lose that "inside man" at the next election.
Smaller districts make it easier for the average citizen rather than just the wealthy and well connected to successfully run for office. We would have a better pool of candidates, and the likelihood of a real citizen legislature vs. a career politician factory is much more realizable.
Couple this with the elimination of staff (since with smaller districts the whole argument for having them in the first place goes away) and a serious reduction in pay - such as tying it to the median income in their district or the whole nation, and you can do this for the same price or less than we pay those bastards now. Not to mention they would be more likely to eliminate all the perks and benefits of the office since they would soon not be career politicians anymore.
Sure, there are logistical questions, but those can easily be worked out with some creative thought and with technology. If anyone wants to address them I'd be happy to offer some suggestions. But remember, constituency size is KEY.

Realisticly you need to kill
Realisticly you need to kill about 50-60% of the population so they will quit voting all these idiots in.
The other alternative is to do away with the congress. We don't need a bunch of corrupt idiots who think it is thier job to regulate every aspect of our lives while they live like kings. Government is just a magnet for tyrants and psychopaths to use as an avenue to act out thier sick psychopathic fantasies!

You get them to swear and oath to abide by certain principals. Then you support their effort to get into office.
That is exactly what retakecongress.com is doing and i suggest that we all embrace that and do our best to push that platform mainstream. This will guarantee that the individuals we put in office are for the People and not sell outs.

By sending to prison
the existing ones. I still find it incredible that after trillions of dollars wasted during the past year no one has been sent to prison.
Part of the problem is

But I come from part of Europe where people usually have to choose between bullets in their head of freedom. Cultural burden, I guess.
First wrap your head around the idea
That no man (or woman) can 'represent' more than one or two of his peers effectively. With that idea firmly in mind, get somebody who will vote 'no' on everything, because that's about as good as you can get in the current system

I think they turn corrupt after
they get in and get a taste of power and get bribed. I think their "friends" corrupt them as much as possible as quickly as possible and then bribe them.
Don't vote for either a republican or a democrat...third parties
only. The exception is to this rule is RP and anyone else who has proven their independence from the system.
If they're a member of a political party

If they can't trick me into thinking they agree with me on everything.
