This bothers me a lot.

I hope I never have kids, I wouldn't want to have to raise them in the slave state that America has turned into.

Not RFID, not permanent and not forced

I originally typed this up a couple of weeks ago as a response to the Boston bracelet thread, but never finished it and never posted it as I got side-tracked in researching other issues that are more imminently and seriously pressing (the American Police Force issue, for example). Please keep that in mind as you read the following...

While I have absolutely no doubt that the "type" of scenario suggested in the video is planned and will happen, likely in the near future, and while I have no doubt that this type of scenario is only one of many that are planned, and while I am convinced that such plans have been in place since (and even before) the foundation of our country, I'm not sure I believe this particular prediction. A scenario like that outlined in the video, in my opinion, won't be the "end-game". I think it would more likely serve as a pilot program in selected areas on a small scale (Boston is only a fraction of the country) to test the waters of what the people will accept, and to practice for full implementation on a large scale, possibly with different tracking devices, at a later time. I also have good reason to believe that the bracelet test program, using health threat scare tactics as a cattle prod, is actually much more about tracking and controlling the masses for reasons of finance and banking control in the future than it is about any pandemic. I believe that the Boston bracelet program is part of something sinister, but is not, in and of itself, sinister. If the people of Boston allow the program to be mostly successful, the program will be pointed to when needed as a precedence and a model for future next steps on an increasingly-widening and more oppressive scale.

I have done preliminary research on the poster of the video (looking at patterns and subjects of other videos she has posted and following other conversations she's had in effort to understand her overall mindset and credibility), on the device displayed in the video (and it's function), on the company that makes the device, on other devices made by the company and on legislation/ordinances for any kind of punishment for refusing to accept the bracelets.

As I said, I've only had time to do preliminary research at the time of this writing, but here are my findings so far:

  • Video poster's credibility: The jury is still out. I don't think she's fabricating her claims. I think she really believes them, and for that I give her a lot of respect as a patriot willing to risk her well being to warn countrymen. However, I think that perhaps, because she is, as are many others, aware that some form of mass population control and oppression in the works, she's potentially incorrectly piecing together smaller details of a bigger picture, somewhat driven by a level of anxiety that appears to be above that of others who are aware of a dark, impending future. I'll know more after I contact her. I do know, for now, that she doesn't understand the device she cited and I would think that military/law enforcement personnel should have decent training on how to use the device and what it can be used for.

  • Device in question: Simply a marker beacon (essentially a bright infrared strobe light, only visible to night vision and I/R sensors). Watch the manufacturer's product overview videos. Although it could be used for other purposes, its intended use it to help troops identify where other troops and resources are in the dark without any personally-identifiable information on a wide scale basis, and without transmitting any light visible to the naked eye. In order for the device to transmit unique, personally-identifiable information, the I/R light would have to be modulated in some way, and a corresponding demodulator device would be required to read/interpret the transmission. While there are devices capable of transmitting unique information via infrared light, the device cited by the poster of the video is not one such device, and I have verified this with an engineer who actually works on the device. More about that below.

  • Manufacturer of device in question: Before I get into too much detail here, PLEASE heed this preface! I called the manufacturer and had no trouble getting right through to an engineer (the engineer answered the phone when I selected option 1 for "sales" on the phone transfer system). I get the impression that the manufacturer is not a very large company. Let me say that I am shocked, impressed and respectful of how forthcoming the engineer was with information without really even knowing me from Adam. I do not want to get this engineer into any particular trouble (which is why I won't cite his/her name). Also, I realize that many of you will require your own verification of whether or not what I'm saying is true here, so some of you will be inclined to contact the manufacturer as I did. That is fine, but PLEASE understand that it is extremely rare that any manufacturer of combat systems, who deals strictly with only military and law enforcement, would give the average civilian Joe ANY information whatsoever. With that said, and considering that more information might be needed in the future, please do not screw up this resource by flooding the manufacturer with calls/e-mails!!! If you guys require your own first-hand verification, then coordinate amongst yourselves and designate a SMALL (~5 to 10 people) group trusted to be credible to make the contacts. Spread out the communications over a period of a week or two and keep the communication as brief as possible. Otherwise, this information resource will be ruined for us and we might possibly cost the accommodating engineer a job! Also, if you do contact the manufacturer, please do not cite the allegations made in the YouTube video or any other information which the mainstream herd might consider "conspiracy". Perhaps you fly R/C airplanes and are looking for some durable, cost-effective, re-usable way to track and uniquely identify the planes in dog fight competitions. Perhaps you are part of a civilian survival instructional team and these devices would be perfect for field training, to identify who's doing what right/wrong. You get the idea. Don't just call and say, "Hey, your products are gonna be used to track us like cattle. How do you respond?" Please verify if you need to, but coordinate and be sensible about it in effort to not set off any red flags!

Now, with that preface out of the way, the engineer was very forthcoming, as I said. We conversed for well over half an hour, covering a lot of technical and theory-of-use material (as well as some patriotic small talk). Here's what I took away from the conversation:

    • The devices are not very well suited for tracking and personally identifying large numbers of people. The engineer said that he/she could not envision any of their devices being feasibly used to personally identify more than 10 to 12 people, and even 5-6 people would be confusing and error-prone. The reason for this is outlined in the next bullet points below. The beacon devices are "really just suited to identify friend or foe but not which friend or foe, and this is the entire purpose of their [the devices'] design."

    • The devices emit a series of long and short pulses of light "just like Morse code" over a six-second window. The pattern of dots and dashes is programmable, thus could be used to personally identify very small groups of people (however much Morse-code you can fit into a six-second window, which is not much at all). Because of this Morse-code-like signaling, "...our devices are best suited for open fields and airspace." Suffice it to say that the device cited in the video, and all other products offered by the manufacturer, and even similar/knock-off devices I've found offered by other manufacturers, are NOT suited for mass tracking and identification as the poster fears. The technical reasons for this are cited below.

    • Because of the Morse-code-like operation of the device and its family, "If you're in urban areas or woods, you're walking past light poles, bushes, trees, sunflowers and things like that. If you wanted to use 'dash-dot-dash' as your personal ID and you walk past a fence post in the middle of one of your 'dash' pulses, the dash gets broken into two dots. Or, if you happen to move past a stick in the ground while transmitting your 'dot', the dot could be obscured to the viewer, making him see only two 'dashes'. Because of things like this, you would really need to observe the transmitter [and the person wearing it, by implication] for at least four or five cycles [24 to 30 seconds, total] but maybe even 9-10 cycles [54-60 seconds, total]. So, yeah, I guess you could improvise under the right conditions and use our units for personal ID, but that's not what we designed them to do and you would have to put up with a lot of inconsistencies." So using the device shown in the YouTube video for the purpose indicated by the poster - to track and identify masses of people in urban areas under normal/peaceful movement, not to mention movement in a state of chaos - would be impossible. I do not mean to imply that such devices capable of such purpose do not exist because I know they do exist, but the device shown in the video simply isn't one of them.

    • The devices offered by the manufacturer (and similar I/R devices I've found offered by other manufacturers) are basically transmitters without receivers. "The little pulses of light are interpreted by humans watching the lights just like Morse code is interpreted by someone sitting there listening and translating the dot-and-dash sounds into letters. Troops can discuss and agree ahead of time... you know... before they go out into the field... on what the dot-and-dash patterns mean. Dot-dot-dash can mean 'Hello, I'm with team-A' and dash-dot-dash can mean 'Hello, I'm with team-B'... you understand." At that point our conversation was taken into a scope of higher-level engineering and theory (which my background allows me to completely understand and engage). If there are any technical-minded people who want me to elaborate further on my next statement, I'll be glad to do so, but that will require a whole separate discussion (not in this thread). Suffice it to say that the challenges of creating a reliable, accurate, cost-effective receiver that can pick up blips of I/R light in field conditions and have the receiver tell you, "That's Davey Crockett... Oh, and there goes Peter Piper!" are extremely daunting and prohibitive from a standpoint of technical design. If for no other reason (but there are many more complicated reasons) a transmitter/receiver relationship based on light is a line-of-sight relationship. I asked the engineer about the citations in the product specifications which say that the beacon can easily be seen through several layers of clothing. The answer is that "...the light can shine through the gaps between the fibers of conventional clothing, but heavy materials such as wool and thick canvas are not penetrated. Regular light shines through the fiber gaps just like I/R does... it's just that I/R is easier to see with the right equipment. Infrared light has some oddities when it comes to what it will penetrate. It will brightly penetrate the leaves of trees and bushes, but not glass and Plexiglas." Keep that in mind for scenarios of viewing I/R light from aircraft or elevated positions. In general, I/R light will not penetrate most things that regular light will not penetrate. There are only a handful of exceptions where I/R light will penetrate what regular light will not, and vice-versa. The end result of all this theory on how I/R light works and line-of-sight requirements is that the device is a transmitter and the receiver is a human who must sit, watch and know how to interpret what is transmitted. There's no "scanner" of sorts that could be used to scan/track/identify the masses with I/R light based devices.

    • I/R light, which is what gets transmitted from the device in question, "...can only be seen with night vision, thermal imaging or with some very expensive microwave imaging tools and manual [human] interpretation of the flash patterns is still necessary."

    • The device in question does not transmit anything but I/R light. "There's no RF [radio frequency], microwave or anything like that and there's no receivers of any kind in our units." Additionally, "...we don't offer anything with any kind of GPS processing."

  • Forced acceptance of the bracelets: I have attempted to find legislation, state laws and local ordinances related to this alleged forced marking of the masses. While I have found documentation indicating that there are plans to offer the bracelets, I have not yet found any kind of "enforcement" support. What I mean by that is that I haven't yet found anything touching on methods or reasonable justifications for forcing people to take the bracelets, or anything on penalties or consequences for refusal. While I still have more research to do, if any of you are aware of any such evidence, please let me know so I can weigh supporting and opposing facts. At this stage in the game, I believe that if there are any penalties for not accepting the bracelets it will be something along the lines of fines - not loading up "offenders" and hauling them off to concentration camps. I think the scenario will be something along the lines of, "Here, wear this bracelet any time you're out in public. If you're caught without it, city ordinance #X says you'll get a $X fine." Also, the video poster alleges that the devices will be "pinned to the wrist" or otherwise "attached permanently" to the wearer; however, battery life and service requirements of the device make it unlikely/unreliable as any kind of permanent/long-term ID.

Don't get me wrong. I DO believe that the bracelet program is a pilot program to test the waters of acceptance for future plans. As such, it should be treated as if they're trying to hold people down and force them to take RFID chips. I just wanted to clear up a few technical points about the Boston bracelet program.

I have e mailed my state rep to see if such a bill did indeed pass in Oklahoma. I seriously have my doubts but will update when I hear back.

I've searched and searched..

no such bill exist...unless it is super secret squirrel stuff... I honestly don't think they are that dumb..Oklahoma isn't exactly the place to start these types of actions. At least not around my neck of the woods...all the folks, especially the older people, are up in arms about this whole flu scare. How many people are going to go house to house trying to give shots when the first ten people are met with a shotgun blast to the gut?

This is just....

Evanson needs to cite bill or law number

He said at 0:50 on the video that "the State of Oklahoma last week (1st or 2nd wk. of Sept.) passed through its House just such a law for the Sate of Oklahoma and its residents and everyone in the State of Oklahoma will be vaccinated..." (he then talks about plans for travel restrictions: road blocks / quarantine holding areas at military bases, pallets of cases of permanent metal RFID bracelets).

Oklahoma has a bicameral legislature comprised of Representatives and Senators. So, which is it:

1. The House passed a bill?
2. Both houses passed a bill?
3. The Governor signed a bill into law?

Please provide a bill or law number, Mr. Evanson. You can post here at the Daily Paul.

Just look at the news article I posted above

From Boston Globe: Boston launches flu shot tracking bracelet

.

Here it is, folks.

A new member of my gardening forums brought this article to our attention today and it blew me away. It's from Nov of 2008 and I can't believe I've never seen this article:

Boston launches flu shot tracking

Excerpts:

Using technology originally developed for mass disasters, Boston disease trackers are embarking on a novel experiment - one of the first in the country - aimed at eventually creating a citywide registry of everyone who has had a flu vaccination.

The resulting vaccination map would allow swift intervention in neighborhoods left vulnerable to the fast-moving respiratory illness.

The trial starts this afternoon, when several hundred people are expected to queue up for immunizations at the headquarters of the Boston Public Health Commission. Each of them will get a bracelet printed with a unique identifier code. Information about the vaccine's recipients, and the shot, will be entered into handheld devices similar to those used by delivery truck drivers.

Infectious disease specialists in Boston and elsewhere predicted that the registry approach could prove even more useful if something more sinister strikes: a bioterrorism attack or the long-feared arrival of a global flu epidemic. In such crises, the registry could be used to track who received a special vaccine or antidote to a deadly germ.

"Anything you can do to better pinpoint who's vaccinated and who's not, that's absolutely vital," said Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research & Policy at the University of Minnesota. "I wish more cities were doing this kind of thing."

Boston is believed to be the first city to embrace this particular approach to tracking vaccinations against the seasonal flu, estimated to kill 36,000 people each year in the United States, principally the elderly.

But when Boston bought the monitoring system from a Milwaukee company in 2006, emergency authorities had a far different use in mind: tracking people injured in big fires, plane crashes, or other disasters.

"When there's a large catastrophic event, people end up in a variety of healthcare facilities," said Dr. Anita Barry, Boston's director of communicable disease control. "Of course, their family members and loved ones are trying to find out where they are and how they're doing."

When people arrive for their shots, they will get an ID bracelet with a barcode. Next, basic information - name, age, gender, address - will be entered into the patient tracking database. There will be electronic records, too, of who gave the vaccine and whether it was injected into the right arm or the left, and time-stamped for that day.

The resulting trove of data could be used to figure out why some patients had to wait longer than others to be vaccinated. "When all is said and done," said Jun Davantes, director of product management at EMSystems, the company that makes the technology, "Boston will be able to identify where there are certain bottlenecks in the process and hopefully improve it the next time around."

Ultimately, city health authorities said, they envision creating a network across the city that would allow public and private providers of flu shots to add data to a registry.

But acknowledging patients' privacy concerns, officials promised that if a citywide system were implemented, only a limited amount of information would be gathered - all sitting behind an encrypted firewall.

"I have had people say, 'Oh, that's so big brother,' " said Laura Williams, EMS deputy chief of staff. "But in truth, the unique identifier is unique to the incident. It's not like you will go to the hospital, and they'll say, 'You're the one who got the flu vaccine at 10 o'clock yesterday at the Boston Public Health Commission.' "

Aw, it was easy to remember.

Mine's in a few days. ;)

Yes, I did remember it is your big 30, also.

When we were all having fun on the chat thread at LLF in summer of '08, I remember someone made reference to a Stevie Wonder song and you knew it. I was surprised you knew it. I think I guessed you to be in your mid to late 20's. I took a stab at your age and Bright's and you said you were 28. He was 20.

Bright's birthday is in a few days, also. Please tell him happy birthday.

I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Oruval. :)

Well I'll be.

Thanks again.. I'll tell Bright!
