Unconfirmed report : Louisiana recruiter advising Guard will deploy

0 votes

A friend's son went to see about joining the Louisiana national guard. The recruiter informed the possible recruit that the LA guard would be deploying to Afghanistan in 2 years.

Think this is creditable, A recruiter telling a prospect that they will deploy?

This is coming from a former soldier... If the recruiter said that they would not be deploying for "two years", then it M|AY/MAY NOT be a detail that he is not really privy to. Likewise, it can also be used as a selling point as in; "Oh, don't worry, you will not deploy for a couple of years..."

He may be right... might not. The recruiter is a position that is trying to find recruits, not dictate how a battle or wars will progress. Asking him to predict a war is like asking a dead bull to lactate.

Nebraska's National Guard has been

deploying troops for 6 years now..nothing has stopped.

National Guard is already in

National Guard is already in afganistan, the Alaska National guard just got a bunch of soldiers back from there.

yes the guard is deploying, has been deploying, and will continue to deploy due to a loop hole in the written authority (my opinion)

Maybe they'll deploy at

Maybe they'll deploy at home, to cart away vaccine dissenters and destitute, starving Americans...

That seems kindda

strange doesn't it? Maybe, it is some type of tactic, hard to tell. These
are such strange times.
