I just received a phone call from the campaign
Submitted by RP08isHOPE on Mon, 12/03/2007 - 10:21I am in New York. It is his wife’s voice and she gives you some personal information about Dr. Paul. She says how he graduated from Duke medical school, he specialized in health care for woman and children and about delivering babies. She states how many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also says how Dr. Paul wants to bring conservative values to the presidency. It was recorded on my machine but I was sitting next to it when it came in. The beginning was cut off. I am excited.
I am now registered as a republican before that I was an independent and before that I was a republican.
Thank you meowmixeater for the link:

Freedom!
I got the call too..
I agree someone needs to take this guy that they've got running the campaign fund raising by the hands and show him how to get this message out..
This $350,000 for the blimp for example, great idea... television coverage will come, just look at the airtime from the moneybomb..Ron Paul 2008 needs a guerrilla marketing guru.
This having Mrs. Paul calling the donors was a crazy move... yet they did it...
Rather than bemoaning what she said...I'd like to offer some suggestions.
I really hope the campaign reads this... Here goes..
Next time you have a robocall, to your supporters, take the time to give a mention of something like thank you for your continued support... from it comes the strength to confront the challenges facing our nation and it's future generations.
For people who aren't already Donors they ought to have Dr. Paul speak, he does well enough at the rallys and at the end of the message, he should direct people to RonPaul2008.com
and all of his campaign signage, should depict RonPaul2008.com
Oh yeah... forgot to add, WIsconsin, call at about Noon...
I was a little
concerned about the whole "preaching to the choir thing" but I got my call on my cell phone which I've never used as a contact when donating at any time. So my thinking is that they have a company that just has vast databases of numbers and most of us are in them. Do not call lists do not apply to political calls so this makes no difference. I did email the campaign, but my guess is that this is just a byproduct of the large lists. Anyone not received a call?
I Strongly Suspect
they did the first run to supporters so that if anything major went wrong, it would be a minor problem instead of a major one. It makes some sense, and it's a relatively inexpensive way to iron any bugs out in the process.
I got my call today (Anaheim, CA), and it's a good call. I hope that it's just one in a series of calls to cover all the bases, but there's definitely a segment of the population that will like Mrs. Paul's message.
I got one from a few years ago during a PA. Senate election
Arnold Schwarzenegger was the voice of the automated phonecall .Even though I couldn't understand a word he said, It got my attention I think there good but someone famous endorsing the person would get your attention
i got mine today at noon in
i got mine today at noon in Colorado... Carol will be a great 1st Lady!

I got one, I can't remember
I got one, I can't remember if I gave him my number when I donated though. Does anyone know if it is random? I would hope he isn't just calling supporters.

Gotta call here in Iowa
Ron Paul has really increased his presence in Iowa - seeing more TV ads on prime time. Also got a full color flyer in the mail, along with flyers from Hillary and Romney - the flyer was nicely done, but the whole thing was dedicated to the 2nd ammendment only. Guess they think there's a lot of gun owners here in Iowa.
Spending our money wisely
While Ron Paul quips on TV that he's having a hard time spending all the donations, I think they are putting them to good use. The automated phone calls are a great tool. They also are buying TV in NH and radio in NH, NV, IA and SC. Ron is now at 7% in national polls (per Rasmussen today), his highest # yet. He's tied with McCain in IA at 7% and ahead of Thompson 8% to 3% in NH.
It's working folks! Keep it up! Thompson, Hunter and Tancredo will be history soon. The top top guys are beating each other up and starting to beat on Ron, but the more they beat the stronger it makes those of us in the grassroots commit ourselves to his cause.
Hit me again Rudy. Pile on John. You don't know what you're up against!
"What have you done for Ron Paul today"?
I got one too! Keller, Tx
I got one too! Keller, Tx
I did too
I recieved the same phone call this morning, I'm from New Jersey. It was pretty cool.
We need this In Ohio, too.
All states, really. This might be (inexpensive, vs mailing brochures to every state, etc...) the best method (it's been used for years by local and national politicans, the calls) of reaching people who don't know of Ron Paul, don't have internet, etc....
Almost everyone has a phone, and if interested, can call the number!
Great idea!
We might not be voting until March... but, getting the word out about Ron Paul early is a good thing.Get people interested, and win over some new voters; we may not be able to vote until March, but you can donate early to the campaign.
take care/not offense.
Excitement in Phoenix
We got the call in Phoenix too. My wife thought it was great and said, "we need to find a way to give even more money to the campaign".
If others feel the same way it is a worthwhile call no matter who they are dialing.
"What have you done for Ron Paul today"?
I just got one too! I am in
I just got one too! I am in Montana

Got my call too here @ lunchtime in Chandler, AZ. :)
got it, too...
I got the call this afternoon here in Louisiana. Saved it in my voicemail and will send out to all in my address book. Aren't cellphones wonderful!
Great idea..
You can send voice mails to other people right? I wish I had my phone message saved. Great way to spread the message.
This isn't Ron Paul's first rodeo....
...I got the call on my cell...but it just said "call"...and blank space...reviewing the timing after reading this post...I realized that must have been the call.
good for them! keep up the diligent work. use all sources. continue to strategize. spread the word. use the shotgun, we have the money.
Got the Call in Northern California
Unfortunately, a good part of the beginning of the message is cut off when it goes to answering machine.
GREAT message though! GREAT outreach.
I got one, too!
It made me so happy! :)
And I'm not even registered as a Republican yet! (Don't flame me. :) I've been delaying because I'm in Oklahoma for school, but I graduate in a week and move back down to west Texas, and I don't think that primary is until March. Also, I didn't want to get into any legal stuff about whether I'm really an Oklahoma or a Texas resident, so I thought I'd put it off until I'm back.)
Got the Ron Paul Robocall
Houstonian here.
Received here
I'm in Houston.
I got the call in MI, on my cell
It made my day, and I am glad to hear non-supporters (yet!) and Dems are getting it.
Run, Ron, Run!
Run, Ron, Run!
Mrs Paul's
When shopping for a presidential candidate, if it isn't Mrs Paul's, throw it back.

Called the HQ
I called the HQ and talked with Brandon. He assured me that the call was going out to random numbers from a farmed phone bank list and that Non-Supporters were being contacted as well as supporters. With the amount of calls going out, supporters are inevitably going to be contacted as well.
Peoria Arizona
Our call came in on the land line just before noon. We are registered as Republicans. We have donated four times and will continue to do so. The only political signs in our area are for Ron Paul and we think that is great!
We stamp our cash vote ron paul 2008 and hand it out to the homeless along the freeway with our signs for them to hold up that say will work for freedom google Ron Paul. We met a lady last week and her name was Liberty. That made us smile.
Got the call here in OREGON
It was a great surprise!!! I was just finishing up calling Iowa voters to tell then about Dr. Paul. When the phone rang I picked it up and it was a message from Ms. Paul! Awesome!! Didn't think they would be calling out here yet!
I got the call too!
I recieved the call on my cell phone. I don't subscribe to any liberty type publications and have been registered Republican and Independent.
