New Chairman of U.N. Security Council: BHO!
The story has not been covered by the MSM. Another story I guess that we should not know about because...?
No vote, no discussion, no debate about this. Obama magically became head of the Security Council for one the most hated organizations by Americans (My opinion only) I believe the perceived American hatred of the U.N. is the reason that the MSM has not said much about this story.

Barack Obama will cement the new co-operative relationship between the US and the United Nations this month when he becomes the first American president to chair its 15-member Security Council.
The topic for the summit-level session of the council on September 24 is nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear disarmament – one of several global challenges that the US now wants to see addressed at a multinational level.
“The council has a very important role to play in preventing the spread and use of nuclear weapons, and it’s the world’s principal body for dealing with global security cooperation,” Susan Rice, US envoy to the UN, said last week.
Her remarks were the latest by the Obama administration to emphasise a shift from the strategy of the previous Bush administration, sometimes criticised by its UN partners for seeking to use the world body principally to endorse its own unilateral policies. The US currently holds the month-long rotating presidency of the Security Council.

Obama to Head UN Security Council?
So, for those who are convinced that Obama is the Manchurian Candidate, this certainly isn't reassuring:
President Barack Obama will make history later this month when he takes the head seat at the table of the United Nations 15-member Security Council. Amazingly, President Obama will become the first United States president to chair the important international council, which deals with issues of global security, including nuclear disarmament.

Now here's the really odd thing. I wanted to link to this story at a news site more reputable than "ChattahBox." But doing a google news search for "obama un security council," I couldn't find any mainstream publications covering this. It was only ChattahBox and a few other political blogs.
So, is the story a fabrication? If not, isn't that just a bit odd, that the first time in history the US president is going to head the UN Security Council, and no major news organization even mentions it? Do I just need to refine my google skills, or is this Point Set Match for the Bilderberg Group?

Thank You about contacting me to express your concerns reguarding President Obama serving as chair of the United Nations Security Counsel (UNSC). I appreciate hearing from you.
As you know, the United Nations (UN) is an international organization that was founded to serve as aforum for countries to work towards international peace and security, develope relations among nations, and promote social progress and better living standards. While inperfect, the UN has established worldwide programs that provide a critical contribution to those living in extreme despair.
Specific to your concerns, under the rules of the United Nations Charter, the chair of the UNSC rotates by country on a monthly basis. During this time, a counrty is able to have the head of state serve as the chair or it may select a representative to do so. In September 2009, United States Ambassodor Susan Rice will serve as chair of the UNSC, and President Obama will preside as chair to lead the summit meeting on nuclear nonprliferation and nuclear disarmament, which is expected to being on September 24, 2009.
You should know that on numerous occasions the Supreme Court has ruled that the power of the executive branch in foreign relations is not one of the enumerated powers, but rather onherent. For example, 1936 case United States v. Curtis-Wright Export Corp., the Supreme Court ruled that "the President alone has the power to speak or listen as a representative of a nation." Therefore, President Obama Serving as chair of the UNSC in no way undermines the sovereignty of our nation.

The 6191st UN Security Council meeting was convened by US President Barack Obama in his capacity as current Council Chairman.
This is the fifth time in history that the Security Council has met at the level of heads of state, and the first time it has been chaired by a US president.

Those who are so IQ challenged to think that an anti capitalist movie making a ton of money is somehow "ironic" , please read a few books before pontificating.
Capitalism is not about earning money , nor is Socialism anti-money , it is mainly anti-exploitation.
Capitalism is about the fruits on one's labour going mostly to the upper one percent who monopolize the Capital (aka , means of production) while said labour is only compensated a survival wage , enough to ensure the pool of workers that the upper 1% can continue to exploit does not starve.

Chairman of the United Nations Security Council" clearly meets the Constitutional definition of both an Office and a Title bestowed by not only a foreign State but by a huge collection of foreign States. Since Congress has not given its consent, it appears that ONCE AGAIN, Obama ignores the U. S. Constitution, a document he described as, "a charter of negative liberties."

Democrats could point out that Bush went to the UN to seek a coalation of the willing and a resoulution from the UN for a pre-emptive attack on Iraq, which was also unpresidented and set Obama up for today, as he is setting arnold and Palin up for the next president of the UN.
