Bin Laden calls Obama "powerless" in Afghan War
Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden described President Barack Obama as "powerless" to stop the war in Afghanistan, and Americans' inability to grasp why the Sept. 11 attacks occurred has "cost you a lot without any result whatsoever."
The remarks by the terrorist leader were released two days after the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that he ordered. Bin Laden typically addresses the American people in a message timed around the Sept. 11 anniversary.
Bin Laden, who is believed to be hiding in the mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, said current White House officials are merely following the strategy of former President George W. Bush and former Vice President Dick Cheney to "promote the previous policies of fear to market the interest of big companies."
"Rather than fighting to liberate Iraq — as Bush claimed — it (the White House) should have been liberated," he said.
When Barack Obama became president and retained many of the Bush administration's military leaders, such as Defense Secretary Robert Gates, "reasonable people knew that Obama is a powerless man who will not be able to end the war as he promised," bin Laden said.
"If you end the war, so to it," bin Laden said. "But if it is otherwise, all we will do is continue the war of attrition against you on all possible axes."
SITE Intelligence Group, a terrorist-monitoring firm, provided a translation of the tape, which was also translated by The Associated Press.

9/12/09 MUST have really scared our goverment , this is total propaganda to make others think twice about getting involved in the 9/12 movement. They Know how we feel about the war and why the war started . They know we have been telling everyone about how this war is about the big oil compainys and others big buss moving into the middle east. So they can use this to make us look bad. This focus on Israel, having the arguments match up with the anti-imperialism arguments, it reeks of propaganda, putting the anti-war arguments in the mouth of someone americans will automatically see as evil, thus associating arguments with him.

The government has to try and make it look like it was an attack by terrorist. The US govt is the terrorist, look at the life and liberty they have taken in the last few years.

I see a couple possibilities for the double-speak. First, it establishes the need for the US to stay in the Middle East - If you look at the mindset of the sheeple, there is still a lot of irrational support for not only Obama, but for the Neocon militaristic mentality to kill non-Christian brown people on the other side. (Look at the MSM when the defense budget came out -FOX News screaming because Obama "cut the military" - when the truth is he increased the budget plus got emergency money) This letter gives both of them fodder to push even harder. On one side, to prop up Obama and create him in the image of a tough leader. On the other side, to give credence to why we are there in the first place and give those with blind patriotic furvur (ya know - the astroturf tea-party types) more to be emotional about.
Either way and from both points of view - the increase of troops and the invasion of Pakistan is on and the letter gives the sheeple justification.
Another possibility - and I really hope not - it is prepping us for another attack. There has been a lot of noise lately about suitcase nukes again. We need to maintain our pretend devil of Osama Bin Laden to get this done.

How do you think the MSM will spin this? Do you really think they will say "Well, Osama Bin Laden schooled us on the real reasons we are there, lets bring the boys home!" I made a thread once on how Bin Laden's letter to the US is never mentioned by the "truthers" because it actually agrees with them, but they couldn't seem to wrap their brains around it.
Why would the government create a villain that is correct on diagnosing the ailments of American imperialism? Why not have Bin Laden's letter to the US say something stupid like, "You've been free for too long, Allah willing, you will perish, akbar halallaa"?
This video is another example of how Bin Laden fails to meet the truther conspiracy narrative.

It follows the "truther" narrative very well. (see my post below). It is about double-speak mind-control - just like the original attacks and the programmed media response. The Neocons can use FOX News to create more pro-war emotions, and the Neocons can use MSNBC to create more pro-war emotions so our "leader" looks strong and in control. Easy.
