I was at the Louisville, KY tea party last week. There were about 5 or 6 people selling these flags there as well...I noticed that they didn't look like they belonged at this event. I took 2 photos of one of the guys selling the flags, because it just struck me odd that he didn't have any stickers or a tee shirt or anything that would clue me in that he was one of the patriot partiers....
These ACORN people will stop at nothing!
»

So Acorn aside...
These people were selling flags and were booted out of the park by the cops (probably for not having some kind of vendor license). That's all I really needed to hear. Someone should have stood up for their right to sell flags. The heckler however had every right to tell the people who they were buying flags from. I would have told people that the flags were probably made in China, buyer beware. This is exactly how a free market should work. :)

10 bucks says
These Gadson flags were manufactured by 10 yr old Chinese kids, bought by the US taxpayer, distributed to ACORN, and resold to the public.
BTW, what is an "Akawn"?

If ACORN is out selling
If ACORN is out selling "Don't Tread On Me" flags, what exactly does that mean? Are they on our side in wanting smaller more efficient government? Or have they sacrificed their principles, whatever those principles are (not familiar with them) in order to make a buck?
In addition, how does it benefit ACORN to have more people displaying the "Don't Tread On Me" message?

Quick reply...
In addition, how does it benefit ACORN to have more people displaying the "Don't Tread On Me" message?
Because they will use any popular message they can to get people into the fold... if said people are caught at whatever Acorn is doing, then they are thrown under the bus.
This isn't anything new at all.. it is the same thing the Progressive/Democratic party has done for over a century.
If you want true irony, consider that the party that sponsored and paid the KKK to grow and lynch Republicans so that they could get back in power years ago are the ones currently using the race card at every opportunity.
They are users. Period. They will use any minority around them to gain an advantage and dispose of them the moment they need to... all the time crying out for social justice for the people that they nailed onto the cross in the first place.
There is wrongdoing, simple evil and wicked.
Acorn is the DNC... and it is wicked.
This is coming from someone who is not bipartisan.....lol

The Flags
ACORN was it seems..selling flags bought by tax payers...to tax payers...that alone should have got them tossed...But to those who disagree...ACORN as a group needs to be run off..shut down..and tossed under the jail for all the crimes they've done..

The guy yelling doesn't understand freedom
ACORN has just as much right to sell flags as the next guy. It shows how underhanded and opportunistic they are though.

If he asked the cops to make them
leave, I wouldn't be for that, but following someone around making sure people know what they would be supporting if they bought a flag is just hunky dory.

Some background...
The guy yelling saw the police brought in to tell this person to leave. The same guy trialed the two selling signs and watched them go back into the crowds to sell some more. He approached the two and told them that they should leave, like the cop told them to. He was then popped in the face by the woman.
Then the video that you see starts.. there is a longer version.

Have you seen the longer version Devon?
The video, as it stands, bothers me.
the yelling guy looks like he's just kicking out the Black folks.
i'm not saying that's what is happening. But it would sure be nice to see the whole thing.

I did...
Listen to the end of this vid.
The gentleman and his wife had left a place where they got lunch, and had noticed a woman that was getting a policeman. She seemed distraught, so they followed the woman and the policeman.
They all ended up at the black Acorn lady and her son.... she was told to leave the area. Instead of leaving the area, she and her son looped back to try to sell more flags.
The gentleman and his wife had followed her and watched what she did. He got upset because the policeman had told her to leave, but she snuck back in. He called her out in the crowd as being someone from Acorn that was reselling flags that taxpayers had bought... she hit him in the face, with his wife watching.
The video you see here starts right after him being hit in the face... he's not happy.
Would you be?
~Live life to its fullest, with an open heart, open arms and most important... an open mind~
Oh, i thought there was actual video of the altercation
But yes, I listened to the commentary, just as you described it.
And no, I would not be happy if I were popped in the face, I have, and I wasn't.
I just get nervous about how video and photos can be used against us, if not framed properly. I worry about us.

I more than understand...
However.
I've been an activist since my parents taught me how.. and they were/are hippys...lol.
I have had the most amazing experience this time around in 2007-2009.... people have figured it out.
They do not get violent, do not smack some (deserving) aggressor on the head... they do not burn down stuff or explode things.
This time around, they act exactly like you would think that normal people with an issue with their government should so.
This is why the MSM is having so horribly hard a time selling the ~Pissed Off White People From Hell~ newscast.
It simply is not there.
We have a chance this time to actually solve things, without horrible violence.
I've been proud of Americans all this week... it is a novel feeling for me.
:)

Cheers
spawn of hippys eh?
I'm enjoying this too. The frustration is only showing by their lack of coverage. My town paper has barely touched the Acorn scandal, and it's a biggie. Seeing as Acorn is a pet project of the current president.
I'm glad the normally silent majority is finally scraped together a pair of cojones.

Well, he should have minded his own buisness
Like I said, no understanding of freedom. He went to the police to ask them to leave?? wtf? He should have offered her $50 for the bunch and gave them away for free.

Mike, you said I "should have offered her $50 for the bunch and gave them away for free"
You must know I believe ACORN is a fraud.
You are telling me I should give my money to a fraud.
Citing freedom so often as you do, you must know that fraud is an attack upon freedom.
So in effect you are telling me to give my money to someone in the act of attacking freedom.
I think you will not be considered for the position of my money manager.
After purchasing the flags you would then have me give them away for free!!! Is this Mikey's "Share The Weath" platform?
Or is it simply Mikey's "Share Tim's Wealth" platform?
Or perhaps you want me to give the flags to you under the "lets give it to Mikey, he likes anything that is free" platform.
Do you need still further illumination?
No
Fortune Favors the Bold
Apparently the woman from Acorn got the cop, who then told her to leave. I understand what you are saying, but this woman was actually the one being violent here.

"he should have minded his own business?"
"...no understanding of freedom!?"
what kind of dream are you living in, mikelawson? tax payer bought signs stolen (or worse, with the premeditated intention) to resell and make a buck for these individuals on the freedom movement ...and you are alright with that? so, they get 100 signs and are told to bring back 100 dollars to acorn...then, they sell the signs for five bucks a piece! hmmmm....
there is something very sinister about an organized, politically backed group that would do this...and i don't know what is worse, them doing it or you condoning it?
it is becoming quite clear that you, sir, are on a completely different "page" here than the rest of us...

would not be justification for getting cops involved, but in this case it was the woman who got the cops involved, according to the guy on the video.

I don't condone it. I believe in freedom.
What I take from others I take from myself. It was some sinister, underhanded stuff, but that's the choice they made. If the flags turn outto be publicly-funded then let heads roll. Freedom is not always pretty, but it's never oppressive either.

Breaking the law?
What about breaking an unjust law? That's called civil disobedience. If we put Acorn aside and had this been a fellow tea party booted for selling a sign because they didn't have the right permits, would you have stood up for his freedom to do so. Or would you support the governments assumption that they have regulations against free trade? Sometimes you can create an ally instead of running an enemy back to their den.
I just think that talking to these people would have been a far more revolutionary tact instead of giving them the slightest bit of fuel.
