Angry Timid Citizens Have Joined Us: The truth about the recent 9/12 Tea Party Rally: All Squawkers
A large wave of “angry timid” citizens descended on Washington DC on Saturday, September 12th, 2009. This large gaggle of squawkers were drawn to DC much like a cold wind blows a flock of fowl toward their wintering destination, by instinct. In this instance, the fear of an ever blowing cold wind of change pushed these citizens to congregate on the streets and lawns at the seat of power. They assembled because they were “angry”. Let’s be clear here. These were not brave citizens, nor were they hated and scorned citizens. They were in fact angry, and, yes, timid citizens who spontaneously assembled for the mere purpose to express displeasure and resentment toward their government. A government which has given them everything and more that they have voted for for decades!
I repeat. The majority of people who made the trek to D.C. were in fact timid citizens, not Patriots. These citizens from “every walk of life” are really no different than those who wandered into Church services following 9/11 looking for comforting words and reassurance that their precious sick world was not coming to an end. Once the danger signal changed from red to green, it was all the sudden safe for them to borrow from the bankers and spend foolishly, fly to exotic destinations, ride the gravy trains, and ditch the Sunday social clubs like a bad date. You say, really?! How dare you!
Samuel Clemens [a.k.a. Mark Twain] said it best… “At the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man and brave, hated and scorned. Until his cause succeeds, then the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.”
Let me be clear, there were true patriots at the 9/12 Tea Party Rally. There were very few though. I will tell you who they were. They were the ones who have tirelessly labored for years telling their neighbors something is wrong with our money, our taxes, our politicians, our media, our schools, all the while being ignored or laughed at by their neighbors. Further, these Patriots were the ones who have stopped paying illegal extortion taxes, stopped voting for criminals residing in the two parties, turned off the TV evening news, and pulled their kids out of government schools. Take your pulse. Are you a patriot, or just an angry disenfranchised taxpayer who has been co-opted and swayed by the rantings of the likes of Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity? Well????
Okay, so maybe it is now “cool” to be a Patriot; to be lumped in with the safe numbers of the new majority; to be dissed by media; to be smug by holding a sign that says I didn’t vote for Obama. Let me tell all the Johnny-come-latelys who are attending our parties. THIS IS NOT THE TRUE REVOLUTION. The true revolution has been built by people much braver than you; much more vigilant than you; much more persevering than you. You are but a reflection of our work. You are merely a tool to be wielded by the REVOLUTION, or by the two party establishment pigs you vote for every year. The pigs that are put in place by the super elite to help rape you.
You will decide who shall wield you now. So I ask you… Do you want change? DO YOU WANT CHANGE! You can’t handle change! You don’t want change! You just want to be heard. Let me tell you something. They aren’t listening to you. I don’t care if there were 2 million people in Washington that weekend. They aren’t listening to you. They are laughing at you! You’ll soon realize that, and when you do; WHAT WILL YOU DO? Retreat back to the silent minority of the neocon establishment? Listen for your marching orders from some lame ass media pundit who will tell you that we just need to reform the other white meat political party? Bow down to fascist policy for your daily bread? Five percent. Only 5% of the people were behind the War for American Independence. They had the will. They had the courage. They had the foresight. They had the truth. They had the guts to fight off the most tyrannical and militarily fierce government on the face of the earth. Let me tell you something. That beast is back. And it isn’t going away anytime soon. So how are you going to win? I’ll tell you how. By sacrifice, BIG TIME SACRIFICE. If you aren’t willing to sacrifice don’t waste your time. But more importantly don’t waste our time. Slink back in your easy chair and live your life the best you can until they come for you. However, if you are willing to sacrifice here is what you must do.
THE SOLUTION: The power to control your wallet and your mind must be returned to its lawful owner. You must take it back. Here’s how to do it. All three must be adhered to for best results.
THE PRESCRIPTION: [WARNING: this medicine tastes really, really bad]: Medicine Name: Full Extract TEA PARTY. Administer at full strength!
1. Pledge to say NO to the income tax, and employment tax. Stop paying it, stop withholding it. There are supposedly 2 million people who can do that right now. You have shown your face. It is now time to put up, or shut up.*
2. Pledge to stop convicting your fellow citizens of supposed “tax crimes”. When you are called to a jury you must acquit. I don’t care how good the prosecution’s argument is, you must acquit.*
3. Pledge to stop using their toilet paper. We call them “paper dollars”. Use alternative currencies, or barter when at all possible for any and all transactions that you possibly can. Learn to support your community and have your community support you.*
* Criminal acquittals in tax cases have not stopped the Federal Reserve/IRS from stealing a person’s wealth. If they can’t steal your time, they’ll still steal your money. Protect your assets by not leaving your property open to exposure. If you work for someone else as an employee you are at the mercy of withholding. That is unless you have an employer who is willing to join you in your cause.
* There is also an opportunity to End The Fed. Until the Federal Reserve closes its doors, by law or by force, and the Treasury is returned to the People of the United States nothing will ever change. Until then you must adopt this three point plan if you want to succeed and see Revolutionary CHANGE.
So put up or shut up, Tea Party participant.

On one hand many seek to impose a ban on abortion, yet these same folks who demand, 'Right to Life', don't blink an eye when it comes to sending our military over to invade sovereign countries, breaking international laws, Geneva conventions, while they rape, pillage, murder and torture millions of foreigners!
We could have way more supporters than the Democrats today, but due to the sheer ignorance of our law, we have people so blinded by their churches (who already have no business influencing their parishes) demanding that 'support the troops' and 'Right to Life', be the litmus test of whether or not you are a Republican.

We need more people to come on board and we won't get them disparaging them for being late. Also, as BFrank down below pointed out, we all have a hot button. Obviously yours is the Federal Reserve and taxes. That was not my hot button but I have learned more about it since I have been involved so it is important to me, too. But, each of us is being trampled on in one way or another. Something is finally the thing that says "enough is enough" for me or you. People are not being informed by the usual sources so instinct is often all they have. Be patient.

If you saw case after case of tax evasion being aquitted
by peer juries- would YOU continue to pay taxes? My fear is that before it becomes "popular" and everyone stopped paying taxes, they'd make tax cases "non juried" and treat them like traffic ticket hearings- tell it to the judge. I think they'd just "Change" the rules and single judges would just smack the gavel and tell you to pay 85% and knock off 15% for coming to fight it- just like speeding tickets.

I'm more than happy to have awakened masses join the Revolution, but reality says that nothing will ever change if it is all just talk. People will still sell out to save their own hide if they are not fully on board to make radical change.

Have you ever heard the term
"Sunshine Patriot".
I believe those expressing caution, myself included, do so for reasons that have nothing to do with bragging rights.
Some concerns include-
1. To whom do the majority of new Patriots? look to for guidance? Our small but true voice or the same engineered consent booming megaphones that got us where we are today?
2. How much do they really understand the problem? Do they understand the problem well enough to be a net asset or are they well meaning liabilities that just know "something is wrong"?
3. Will they drift out as fast as they drifted in?
4. Will a (seeming) rapid growth in numbers cause many that have labored long to slack off, believing victory is soon at hand? What happens with both newbies and old hands if victory is not soon in hand?
Numbers are great. We DO NEED numbers. History is full of examples of organizations/efforts that fail from their own, too rapid success. That is when they are unprepared to handle rapid growth wisely.
Not wanting to disparage new arrivals-WELCOME ALL TRUE CONVERTS-nor am I against gaining people(We must to Win) just saying new developments should be considered from all angles and pondered carefully to avoid needless setbacks.
Final Note (but not the last word on this important topic, many more have much to add): The more successful we are the more attention and effort directed our way from those that oppose us. We have seen waves of this in the past. There are always snakes in the grass. The bigger the grass(roots) grows the greater the number of snakes. The most dangerous snakes are very clever and the hardest to spot.

Were you there? There were people protesting for many different reasons and motivations. Here are just a few of the distinct strains I recognized:
Pro life folks - opposed to HR 3200 because it pays for abortion
Senior citizens opposed to the bill for the death committee.
Medical professionals opposed to the government takeover
Ordinary folks who did not want the "government option" wiping their private insurance out.
Libertarians opposed to more creeping socialism.
Folks concerned with the budget deficit.
Folks concerned over the 2nd Amendment.
Folks upset about the tax increases necessary to pay for more government.
Partisan Republicans.
Partisan supporters of every minor party.
Ron Paul supporters.
Sarah Palin supporters.
Frustrated blue dog Democrats who know their party is sinking.
Yes, there were some tax Patriots as you describe.
There were folks wanting to audit (some abolish) the FED.
Seccessionists.
There were probably more reasons, besides these, that motivated people. Homeschoolers were there, folks opposing mandatory vaccinations were there, folks opposing bailouts were there, etc. & etc.
I have seen numbers as low as 60,000 and as high as 3 million for numbers. The left/msm claimed 1.8 million for the Obama Inauguration. Everyone I have spoken to, who was there for both 9/12 and the Obama Inauguration, say our event was about twice the size of the Inauguration. However, nobody believes 1.8 million were actually at the Inauguration. My guess is that we had about 1.8 million there, give or take 200K.
Here's what you may have missed. I listed about 20 things that were some participant's "hot button" or number one reason for being there. However, almost everyone there was also in agreement with at least 15 other folks hot button, it was just not number one for him.
Here's the beautiful thing that happened - several million times. Total strangers, sometimes from different states, became friends, dined together, prayed together, exchanged contact information, and made new friends, and alliances. Probably 1,500 organizations were able to distribute literature, business cards, & etc. to a national audience. Our people were able to come together, be encouraged seeing each other, get better organized, and form alliances that expand all over the USA, and leave those 1.8 million people much better connected to each other than they were this past Friday.
Everyone I spoke to is willing to come back and can bring more folks next time, if there has to be any next time. Everyone I spoke to knows 20 or 50 people at home who feel the same way but did not come to Washington because of finances, family obligations or health concerns. Everyone was in agreement, if we are ignored, we will need to become more militant; this was the polite effort to put the left on notice. Most importantly, everyone there was definitely going to turn out and vote in 2010 and beyond, even if they sat out the last election. They now understand, elections have consequences!
These folks have cell phones, internet service, digital cameras, websites, blogs, and they are able to organize, communicate, and continue to foment revolution, completely outside of MSM media and formal political parties. The last time I saw folks this angry and ready to take back the republic was in 1968.
There are two big differences between now and 1968. In 1968 we did not have the digital revolution that is allowing us to organize spontaneously and at a fraction of the cost in 1968. The other difference is that in 1968 there were only two issues, communism and race. In 1968 the folks were only mad enough to revolt in 6 or 8 Southern states. This time, the issues involved are all of the above EXCEPT race and the angry people came from New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Michigan, California, etc., and not just from the South. I am proud to say South Carolina and Texas were probably the best represented states there.
Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Dick Armey and the Republican National Committee may all have noticed this spontaneous revolution happening and rushed forward to capitalize on it, report it, sell books to it, or even, provide actual assistance and leadership to it. However, they did not start it, don't control it, and, in spite of a smattering of home made "Joe Wilson for President" signs, this is about issues and philosophy and not about personality or party. A whole lot of the hard corps Republicans in Washington on Saturday, hold Bush and the RINO's just as responsible as Obama. They are angrily demanding what my friend Harry Kibler calls a "RINO Hunt!"
I am more positive, optimistic, and encouraged to see Americans, from every walk of life, finally waking up. There has been the proverbial paradigm shift - the revolution has actually started.
Finally everyone, participants, opponents, media, politicians, DC residents, tourists, were all truly amazed that there were probably just under 2 million of us there and; we were polite to everyone, not just each other. We policed up our own trash. We cooperated with law enforcement. We were respectful, non-violent, and even non confrontational. This was not a riot, it was more like a tent revival where the gospel (good news) was the constitution.
If you weren't there, you did not see a South Carolinian give a secession flag, as a gift, to a fellow from Long Island who waved it all day and proudly took it back to New York. You missed folks riding on busses creating websites to keep in touch with others on the same busses. You missed a couple of fellows taking a few hours to walk five miles to re-unite a husband and wife (senior citizens) who got separated in the crowd. These acts of friendship and kindness were repeated tens of thousands of times, usually among total strangers.
The events of this past week end were the next phaze in a conservative, constitutionalist, revolution that is sweeping this nation and will sweep the Obama folks out of Congress next year.
