I just had an idea...What they have done is...

...Taken Ron Paul's name and switched it with Huckabee's name on the poll results...it's the only possible answer! Huckabee has done nothing to actually account for his rise in the polls...If that happened it would seem he would have people gathering in droves at his campaign stops...similar to ... Ron Paul...Hmmm. But nope...few people show up to see him...well other than the Ron Paul supporters...

Unpuzzle me, if you can

I'm puzzled with my own church members because a few of them (especially the copastors) seem to have just found out about Huckabee and desire for him to win. We are located in Arkansas. (Their newly found enthusiasm seems to have come immediately after the Norris approved ad). Have they perhaps forgotten the things he did, or did they ever know? How can we Christians when offered a way to choose peace ignore that option? Huckabee said it himself that he would continue the foreign policy that is in place now. I think it's because he has no idea of how to handle foreign policy and status quo requires no real effort. I also wish I could screw up enough courage to ask them just what it is they want in or from a president, and how they expect MH would fulfill that?

Don’t Forget Romney Hasn’t Gone Negative on Huckabee Yet

In the next couple weeks Romney will have to unleash the Iowa ads about Taxabee, Amnestybee and Unethicalbee. Huckabee doesn’t have the dollars to respond so a large percentage of his evangelical support will break away or fail to show up.

Romney knows that he has to run the table early (probably at least through South Carolina) if he’s going to have any shot at this.

As for Ron I think he needs a 3rd place finish (about 20% of the vote) in Iowa. The good news is that you can take his polling number and multiply by 2 in Iowa given his voters intensity and all the other reasons we discuss concerning “likely voters”. Ron needs to get his polling to about 10 to12% by January 1st. He’s not there yet (about 6 or 7% now), but he’s headed in the right direction and will only improve over the next month.

El Dorado

I agree

The Huckabee camp also seems to know that something is around the corner. Huckabee and Romney supporters seem to be preparing themselves for the war to come in the upcoming weeks. I hope Huckabee hasn't made a deal with Giuliani to do his dirty work. We need Huckabee to remain in the race as long as possible to dilute the neo-con vote. I hope there never will be a Giuliani/Huckabee alliance.

"Likely Republican voters"

That's the key.
These guys have no idea how Ron Paul is rewriting the definition of "likely Republican voter!" and they are gonna be shocked when their equations didn't work out because someone went around changing a key variable!

A couple things! We have them scared! Don't believe the polls!

The fact that Huckabee is acting, and saying things that would make you believe he was Ron Paul if you were reading a transcript says volumns, he has also copied many of Ron Paul's ideas on fundraising and "abolishing the IRS" but don't be fooled...this is just another ploy... ask yourself how the guy with the least money in his campaign has gotten a 20% rise in the polls? Is it the Chuck Norris effect? I like Chuck but I don't think he has that much influence...

The polls are rigged and by their actions, I would suggest the establishment is getting the real numbers and are wholeheartedly at work to thwart our efforts. Don't believe the polls and don't rely on them to give us any satisfaction. There a joke at best! (see Penn and Teller post)

good point

Some uninformed voters seem to think that the Huckster is a fiscal conservative when he's anything but. He's a huge disappointment to fiscal conservatives in AR, selling out all over the place. This guy never knew a government program he didn't want to fund.

Any more questions from conservative voters, direct them to:

www.taxhikemike.org

The Huckster is absolutely no conservative. Every conservative voter needs to know the truth about this guy. He's gaining traction to some extent with the FairTax, but realizing his track record as governor, you have to wonder how long it'll be before we're stuck with a national sales tax (which has many flaws of its own) *and* eventually, a re-instituted income tax. It's certainly not out of the realm of possibilities, knowing Huckabee's Gubernatorial record and working with AR Dems.

Other than that, he's pro-amnesty and has been quick to grant pardons to violent thugs. This is not a conservative candidate in the slightest.

If Huckebee, Romney, Giuliani, Thompson and McCain

are the best the Republican party elite have to offer, than they are in trouble for giving their backing to these top tier morons.

We all know that the one they are ignoring is the only one who has a shot at beating Hillary or whoever else the Democrats may nominate.

Its a good thing

It shows that Romney and Giuliani's support was soft. I suppose Huckabee's supporrt is soft as well.

Two words

Dick Gephardt. In 2004, at this stage, Kerry was at 4% in Iowa.

It's kind of funny how once Rudy and Mitt got under the microscope the pollsters dropped them like a bad habit. Now it's Huck. But there are enough Youtube videos of TaxHikeMike in action to go around. Iowa does not have computers? Or are they just in love with preachers?

Liberty and Freedom are a beacon; not a bullet.

One more thing

As Dr. Paul said in the winning ad--- " There's something going on in this country and it's big, Really Big " Lets keep our chins up people--it's a long way to next Nov and there will be a lot of polls between now and then.

CNN slamming Huck right now

He can't hide that hide that he raised more taxes than Clinton

Poll #'s

I don't pay attention to poll numbers as they are very much based on the questions and even depend upon how the person answering the poll answers the first question. Penn & Teller do a great monologue about polls and talk with some neo-con pollster on their show --B*******. I will try to find the link on you tube and post it.

Here's the Penn & Teller

Here's the Penn & Teller video link. Frank Luntz is the pollster they talk to.

Huck's campaign can almost be admired for its cynical,

Machiavellian prowess:
1. Bankers like him for the "UN-FAIR" tax, which will let them make more money and make the Federal Reserve even stronger
2. Invasionists like him because he'll continue and/or expand the war
3. Lobbyists like him because his UN-FAIR tax will do nothing to shrink the size of government, nor eliminate pork
4. Fundamentalists like him because he's a Baptist minister
5. Pro-lifers will like him because because he talks about ending abortion; emphasis on talks about

Yikes.

A key point to use in conv with Evangelicals and Fundamentalists

4. Fundamentalists like him because he's a Baptist minister

Um, no. Emphasize to them that while he once **WAS** a minister -- he is NOW a politician, and has been for the past 20 years -- more years than he ever stood in a pulpit.

And BTW, pastor without a flock is NOT a pastor. (Just like Bush was NOT a cowboy... as they say in Texas, "All hat, no cattle.")

He ain't a Texan either

He's also not from Texas.

Do not tell people here in San Antonio that GWB is a Texan. They will be very quick to remind you that "that son of a bitch is from Connecticut!"

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.
Thomas Jefferson, 1791

Actually, I think he's really from somewhere south of there...

straight south.

BTW just to clarify, I said the saying "All hat, no cattle." was from Texas... not that the beady-eyed little chimp was.

Not this fundamentalist...

This narrow-minded, dogmatic, evangelical, fundamentalist does not like him...

Give me Dr. Paul, or God help this country...

The Dark Side of Mike Huckabee...

...is ALSO being examined by MSM.

btw, this morning it's been fun listening to Laura Ingraham's talk show. She really jammed Huckabee for his "Dream Act Lite" for illegal alien children, nicely exposed yesterday by George Stephanapolous when Huckster had to answer really tough questions on "This Week".

Conservatives do NOT want taxpayers to pay for the college education of illegals. Screams magnet, magnet...come to America...

Hopefully the people in Iowa watched the show and realize that he would continue the same failing border policies as Bush.

She also reads an article about his dishonesty in taking furniture from the Arkansas mansion, similar to the article below:

The Dark Side of Mike Huckabee...
The national media seems to have a crush on our ex-governor, but here in Arkansas, we know better.

Stephanopoulous did ask some

Stephanopoulous did ask some good questions, I don't think I have ever been that pleased with anything he has said before.

There's somethin' happenin' here...

Gah! That's depressing.

Gah!

That's depressing.

Support and Defend the Constitution!

Enough of this crap about huckleby

this forum is about Ron Paul, not some losers who sold out to CFR.
Please stop posting this garbage.

Thankyou

for saying what I was thinking...

Huckabee going on the Don Imus Show....Ouch!!!

anyone that's worried about Mike Huckabee, you can stop right now, going on Don Imus is bad judgement,

but when you're desperate for Power, you'll do anything. Way to go HuckSter!! keep up the good work!!!
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2007/12/02/huckabee...

This is good news!!! We want this!

Huckabee needs to be at the top and under the microscope. The other leaders will put the screws to him and that is what we want. We want him to make his rush to the top NOW. Not in 3 weeks. We want this big 15 minutes of fame thing NOW for the Huck.

He is the bug and the truth is the windshield.

They have already started to hammer him. He has been equated with taxes and he will NEVER shake that tag.....never.

I have said it before and I will say it again.....WE WANT TO BE UP AGAINST A GREAT BIG SPENDING STICKY SMILEY POLITICIAN GOVERNOR.

WE WANT THIS GUY!!!

CHRISTMAS HAS COME EARLY!

Huckabee is a likable guy, no doubt about it. At least he's a more decent candidate that Romney, Giuliani, Thompson or Tancredo.

But - he is staunchly pro-war. That is his liability.

As well, he has taken planks from Ron Paul's platform, abolishing the I.R.S. for one, and has gained traction because of it.

So friends, when faced with a Huckabee supporter, just point out that he ultimately stands for more killing, bloodshed and intervention in the mid-East in the name of "honor." This makes no sense at all, and needs to be affirmed in meetings with potential voters.
.

I agree, the vague flavor of

I agree, the vague flavor of the week status the media has now bestowed on Huckabee may be fleeting, maybe his next joke won't go over so well. As long as the focus is off of Rudy, Mitt & McCain, all laughingstocks in my book, we're making some progress.

The zenpiper's right...

Ole Huck has enjoyed about as much free press as one can get, and he's smart enough to swipe some of Ron Paul's thunder. However, I don't think he has much of a moral compass at all. No military background, but FOR war. Give me a break. I've seen enough of these old farts sending younguns into the meatgrinder, when they didn't bother to go. He's a typical politician, he'll swing whichever way the wind is blowing. But, he's crafty, and he's being promoted as the "alternative to Ron Paul" for the masses by the media who we know, are for ANYBODY but Ron Paul.

Stop the insane globe trotting, vote Ron Paul.
