So, DNA is the "Gold Standard" in evidence,eh?

Not according to the latest science. It can be manufactured.

The NYT article quotes the author of one paper on the subject, saying:

“You can just engineer a crime scene,” said Dan Frumkin, lead author of the paper, which has been published online by the journal Forensic Science International: Genetics. “Any biology undergraduate could perform this.”
