Obama Admits Rep. Wilson Was Right

The White House has now conceded that Rep. Joe Wilson was exactly right when he accused President Obama of lying when Mr. Obama denied that illegal aliens would be covered under the government takeover of health care.
Wilson knew that every attempt to deny coverage to “undocumented immigrants” had been voted down by Democrats, and that there was no verification method or enforcement mechanism in place to keep them from getting taxpayer-subsidized health insurance.
Last night, the White House caved, releasing a statement saying that the administration is now backing a proposal that says, “Verification will be required when purchasing health insurance on the exchange,” and specifically mentions the SAVE program (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) that states currently use to make sure illegals don’t consume taxpayer-funded benefits that are reserved for legal residents.
The bottom line here is that if Rep. Wilson hadn’t “called out” the president, this concession never would have occurred. It turns out that everybody who supports sound immigration policy but who condemned the Congressman – including House Republicans that forced Wilson to apologize publicly - now owes him an apology. Don’t hold your breath waiting for that to happen.

may I have my free health insurance plan ? Be careful of the wording in these documents. Verification with a fake I.D. still means free health insurance and the passing of a corrupt program.
The idea that just because something is documented or not does not make it right for the people of a republic.
We do not need this health bill. A republic, not a democracy, is able to take care of its own health issues. Government does not need to be involved. It's the major corporations and insurance companies that need to be regulated not the peoples freedom of choice.
We need the Restoration of a Republic. The constitution does not allow our government to be ran as it is.
Wake up people. Research, study and take action. We must change the direction and ideas that this country is being deceived to follow.
The main change we need is in our government at the Federal, State and local level.

I don't believe Obama would appreciate and praise someone a bad example like Joe Wilson. Did Wilson shout at President Bush for lying to go to war with Iraq?
Obama did not want to worsen Wilson's action, he just forgave him to put this behind them.
Because Obama, as part of the minoirity who sees every body's interest at heart, is now under target by the special interest groups and the right-wing racists, extremists who took the country to war. A war that was not needed and got Americans' wealth wasted abroad just for being arrogant.
The war in Iraq has left the country broke. Many Americans cannot even pay their bills now. If you guys want to be fair on this website, act and say it like Ron Paul.
When will a crack down be put on Glenn Beck as one of the biggest antagonists against Obama?
Genn Beck accused Van Jones of taking part in the Rodney King riot in 1991, which he knows is a total lie. He just said it on Fox News just to scare white people. I am one of the white folks who won't be scared by those trash talks on Fox News. Fox News has acted as a dishonest media institution since they know they can lie and get away with it.
The good news is, everyone around the globe already knows that Fox News is a media institution designed for the special few and their allies that always want things go their way for their own benefits. Hopefully, Randy Brogdon is good man like Dr. Ron Paul and not associated himself with Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and other nuts.
Most of these republicans don't care about anyone else, but themselves and war.

says Joe Wilson's comment "is rooted in racism". I hope people see where this is going. Anything negative, any disagreement with this president is going to be labeled racist. I find it absurd, but the american sheeple, like you, are going to buy into it. Kinda funny how the likes of Sharpton, Jackson and FaraCon(sp) have been spewing remarks against president for decades and have never been called racists. God have mercy on our country, we really need help.

Now if they can be sure that illegals are not covered then we're really getting somewhere with this federal healthcare reform. I know we HAVE to pass some kind of federal healthcare reform, that is a given, but we're not going to stand by and let illegals get covered...
They're just creating the premise that this bill has to pass in some form or another. Creating a big stink over the illegal issue, then they take that off the table, make us all happy, and somehow we forget that we're still left with a stinking pile of crap that will be passed into law.
Where are the people opposing this entire thing on principle? We seem to have many who are opposing this part or that, but that just gives strength to the central concept that federal healthcare reform is the right thing to do. They're trying to get us to accept a false premise and then play defense on it.
Our opposition to a peripheral point just goes to give credence to the premise.

It's hard to get smacked around all day and then, to top it off, get caught being really obtuse and stupid. I think his remark about the Congressional Research Service, a government entity established by Woodrow Wilson, was somehow, and to use his terminology, a "Bushy RNClie site" was a bit too embarrassing for him.
