GOP Candidate Accuses Dems of Supporting Slavery

Human Trafficking + Slavery = ACORN. Do the math!!

Gertrude Baines died a few days ago. She was 115 years old. Born in 1894, she was the daughter of a slave freed after the civil war. According to the BBC, Ms Baines was believed to be the oldest ever African-American voter when she cast her ballot for Barack Obama in November 2008. She said she was voting for him “because he’s for the coloured people”.

An amazing story. Imagine: her father was a slave, owned by another man, like a piece of property. Until he was declared free by President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. And then he belonged to himself. And his daughter was able to vote for the first black President of the United States.

I just had to contrast that amazing story with the ACORN video outrage. Filmmaker James O’Keefe, who posed as the pimp, and Hannah Giles, posing as the prostitute, asked for help buying a house to use as a brothel. O’Keefe casually mentioned he’s bringing in a dozen girls from a foreign country and on how to hide them. ACORN employees told them how. Several times. In several offices.

You know, this one really affects me. Its not like the other stories we’ve covered here: the money abuse, the partisan politicking, the big brother syndrome…

No, this one is FAR different.

I’m talking about human trafficking.

O’Keefe’s video exposes a federally-funded arm of the Democrat party (make no mistake!) aiding and abetting slave-traders. And the media treats it like a stunt.

Listen! Listen to me! This is NO stunt. This is a revelation! A stomach-turning exposure of just what goes on at ACORN.

Of the videos, Scott Levenson, a spokesman at ACORN’s national offices said, “The portrayal is false and defamatory and an attempt at ‘gotcha journalism.’” Is he trying to be cute?! Or is he just crazy? “Defamatory…!” Levenson’s people are on tape aiding and abetting slave-traders in four of five separate offices, and he’s worried about reputation!

Let me ask this: If the captain of the Spanish slave-ship Amistad entered an office of ACORN and said “I’ve got a cargo-hold of Africans I paid for. Tell me how I can keep em under wraps until I can sell em off?” What might they advise?

Listen! This isn’t a joke. This is not a political stunt. This is real life. It goes on every day! I can barely find the words to describe how I feel. Well… here are three reasons why this revolting business affects me so much.

First, I am Jewish. Need I say it? As a member of that minority, I am sensitive to the idea of people being forced to work under threats of death. At the end of World War II, millions of Jews had been murdered (my parents were survivors of the holocaust), and many millions of others had been enslaved and forced to work in armaments plants across Germany. Human trafficking had been part of the key evidence leading to the conviction of many leading nazis; Fritz Sauckel was hanged for his role in this dirty business! Today, German firms are still making settlements with surviving slave workers of 70 years ago.

Second, I am an immigrant. I came to America of my own will, to build a happier life for myself than I could find anywhere else. America, “The Land of the Free!”

And what now? America, the land where its government funds a criminal empire that aids and abets the slave trade?! Human trafficking denies their basic human rights, and their civil rights as guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution. Any organization that violates these rights (or aids and abets) is guilty of the most severe crimes against our laws and our noble traditions!

Third, I am a Republican. I belong to Abraham Lincoln’s party. The party that won freedom for the slaves. The party that overcame Southern Democrats to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964! Liberty-loving and freedom-defending! I have never seen eye-to-eye with Democrats, and have criticized their agenda all the time, but I wouldn’t permit myself to think they were this corrupt, this criminal…

Camille Paglia recently lamented the authoritarian Democrat party: ‘Weren’t Democrats the hippies, the anti-establishment, anti-fascist liberty-lovers? How did they become the fascist authoritarians they hated so much?’ she asked.

Add “How did they become slave-traders?” to the list, Camille! Because its the Democrat organ called ACORN that goes into poor minority neighborhoods, allies with criminals, and turns those neighborhoods into filthy buckets of swill! And yet, the Democrats remain silent. And complicit.

Rep. Rosa DeLauro is also silent. Not ONE word on the horrific matter. She is known for womens’ advocacy. She debated me on television, claiming how great an advocate she is. Emily’s List considers DeLauro a champion for womens’ rights. And yet, this champion’s mouth is clamped tight while Democrat activists advise a pimp on how to smuggle and conceal slave girls for the degrading, humiliating, and violently abusive sex trade!

I won’t ask why DeLauro is silent. And I won’t ask her for a statement either! I don’t have to! Because she is a Democrat. She is a big Democrat, a loyal soldier in the party! And ACORN is an arm of the Democrat party! She and her fellow incumbents would sooner cut off their own limbs than cut off ACORN! I expect stern loyalty from them.

But what I don’t expect is silent complicity in crimes against humanity, crimes against womens’ rights, crimes against children! No, not in my worst nightmares did I think this was possible…

Gertrude Baines knew a slave. It was her father. She vindicated all that he suffered by voting for the first African-American President. Who, by the way, worked for ACORN and who was completely supported by ACORN in the campaign.

I am publicly calling on Rep. Eric Cantor in the House and Sen. Mitch McConnell to place bills before Congress opening a full investigation of this enterprise. (The Senate’s already voted on suspending funds and the House is due to vote on it today.)

I want to know what’s going on in there!

I want to know where our tax money is going!

Is it being used to aid and abet human traffickers, child abusers, and slave-traders?!

Are we funding the most degrading and abusive crime against humanity? ARE WE?

I don’t care what the Democrats think. ACORN’s their baby.

…And It just makes me sick.
