Rep Hank Johnson: Joe Wilson's Comments Will Lead To "White Hoods"

He is my congressman. He babbles, talks very slowly, and usually seems to have no idea what he's talking about. i saw him in the library the other day and he didn't even nod back when i said hi to him in passing. i have not met one person who actually knows who he is or anything about him, yet he gets re-elected because there there is only one name on the ballot. People in this district would vote for any candidate with a D next to their name regardless of how obviously unqualified that candidate may be. He was brought in because people thought Cynthia McKinney was too much to handle.

There are certain issues that he champions that show that although his thinking may sometimes be in the correct direction, he is never dedicated to any principles. He always sponsors legislation to reduce the penalty for crack possession to make it equal to the penalty for cocaine possession. Clearly he understands that it doesn't make sense to put somebody in jail for 20 years for possessing crack, but why does he think that it is acceptable to put somebody in jail for 3 years? You never see him sponsoring a bill that would eliminate the jail sentences for these so-called crimes.

He eventually sponsored HR 1207. First he sent me the stock e-mail, claiming that the fed has done a wonderful job of reducing systemic risk, being the lender of last resort, and managing the money supply. After i pointed out that he was lying and they have done a terrible job, he eventually became a co-sponsor a month or so later. i was proud of him after that, so i have basically given him a pass on everything since then.

edit: oh no i just realized that i have called out Hank Johnson for lying in the past, i hope that i'm not a racist now.

NPR had a horrible piece this morning claiming that the outburst was racist and people bringing guns to Obama's town hall the same ( not mentioning that one of the gun bearers was an African American). Shameful.

BTW proud of DPers for not bumping the race baiting forum entry about bksbk kids beating up on white kids...there are always attempts to start rascists discussion on here by trolls and perhaps some are paid by our tax dollars.

This is the same guy that played race riot and marching videos saying that all minorities would lose their "rights" the moment he lost his election.
