Michael Moore Film Hammers Dodd
Michael Moore is contemptible. But I know a lot of Connecticut residents like him and his new "documentary" villifies Chris Dodd, the final hurdle Peter Schiff would have to cross into the Senate.
According to the Washington Post...
In building his indictment against the ill-fated marriage of Wall Street and Washington, Moore zeroes in less on Phil Gramm or other GOP string-pullers than he does on White House economic adviser Larry Summers, Robert Rubin and Sen. Chris Dodd. Especially Dodd, the Connecticut Democrat and chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. Moore gets an on-camera interview with the mortgage officer who handled the special VIP loans provided to Dodd and other big names, which have dogged Dodd's reelection bid.
Dodd had appeared to be clawing his way back onto safer political ground in recent months, as he filled in for the dying Ted Kennedy as chair of the Senate health committee. But if "Capitalism" packs them in in Wallingford and Danbury, watch out.

Why do you have to register republican to vote in this country?
Is nobody else very concerned?
There seems to be a growing (and ignorant) anti-capitalist movement in America. It's very disturbing. And it's already been frustrating / exhausting to fight the trend.

As for Dodd, he said, "Lets the chips fall where they may." Last he checked, he said, Dodd was so low in the polls that his prospects looked bad no matter what.
"For the Democrats to save that seat, for the good of the party he should probably not run," Moore said, adding as an afterthought: "Though he's done a bunch of really good things."
Ultimately, Moore said, it's up to the Democrats to push Dodd to the sidelines: "I don't know why they'd risk losing that seat just because they're afraid to tell him not to run."
The biggest knock against Dodd in my opinion,
is that he amended the bailout bill to ensure bonuses for the bankers.
This fact should be exploited to its fullest.

Peter: champion the young
The Schiff campaign is going to need the under 30 crowd to register Republican in big numbers (only registered GOP can vote in the primary). If they spend wisely they can build a youth movement and supplement it with seniors who feel guilty about the debt burden they're leaving and/or angry that they're nest egg has been halved. But ages 40-60 in CT?.. a tough sell in CT. I'd go viral and to senior centers, forget wasting $$$ on tv ads.
The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.
Which only keeps the corrupt GOP alive
and that is the tragedy.
Meanwhile, people who are truly sick of the dog and pony same old crap from both CORPORATE major parties are going Indy, and I believe this is VERY EXCITING for those of us who can handle a NWO ala RP.

I wish Moore used the word "Corporatism" instead of "Capitalism".
Since the world "Capitalism" has been hijacked and bastardized, maybe we should come up with our own name such as "Freedomism" or "Freedom Capitalism".
Just a thought.

The term is probably lost. I stopped using it a year ago. No big deal. It was a bad term anyway to signify a "free-market". Why? Well every economic system is capitalist--every economic system uses capital (even socialism and communisn).. The relevant question is: are individuals free to own capital, or does the State bar that?
