"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American," Carter told NBC News. "I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that shares the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African-Americans."

Jimmy Carter has much in common with Obama. Both were elected at a time when the other party was in shambles. (Carter followed the Nixon/Ford regime. Despite that, Carter just barely won.) Carter and Obama were unknowns who were nurtured and selected by the CFR. Both campaigned on empty platitudes. Both were discovered some months after they took office to be ignorant of economics and real politic. Both took a very bad economic situation and a middle east problem that they inherited and did everything to make them worse. Both worked tirelessly to expand the role of the Federal government. (It was during Carter's reign that the Departments of Energy and Education were created.)
One notable fact is the way the voting lined up by states. Carter prevailed mostly in what we today call the "Red" states, while Ford took "Blue" states like California.
As it happened, Carter wound up being despised by many in his own party. Ted Kennedy ran against the incumbent Carter in the next Democratic primary. Carter lost his bid for re-election to an affable TV and movie actor in one of the biggest landslides ever.

First of all, who cares what Jiminy Carter says? This is the guy who gave our canal away to Panama, and paid them with our tax dollars to take it. All so that Panama could pay its debt to Marine Midland Bank.

I had a few thoughts reading the posts here. Thank you to all who posted, and I apologise to any and all who were offended by my original post. I LOVE DP and would be grieved to think I posted a headline that was inappropriate.
I am beginning to think the seven reasons people voted for Obama are the platforms we will be facing in 2012, because MSM is making them issues.
I wanted to get ten reasons to vote for Obama. I had ten reasons to vote for Ron Paul.. End the fed, Lower taxes, No Patriot Act, End the war on Drugs, Out of Iraq, No national ID, Secure borders, Embrace the Constitution, Out of the UN, Reduce Debt, Small Government..

And of course this does not even address the fact that his father was not a US citizen, so Obama was not a natural born citizen. But if you look at his foreign policy and his war in Afghanistan, you could conclude his a natural born killer. Maybe he confused the two "natural born" descriptions.
And what about his living like an aristocrat at our expense. Live lobsters flown in at government expense, $500 imported wine, expensive steaks imported from Japan, $25,000 per student private schools, and his Marie Antoinette dressing in outrageously priced clothes and accessories.
