Message From Ron Paul - 12/3/2007
Submitted by Michael Nystrom on Mon, 12/03/2007 - 14:34December 3, 2007
Want to know a secret? There were two moments I especially enjoyed at the CNN/YouTube debate -- despite my frustration at some of the questions, and the maldistribution of time.
First, I was pleased at John McCain's attack, which he clearly had planned. Not because that sort of stream-of-consciousness nonsense about Hitler and WWII -- when the neocons openly want what they call WW IV! Are we to forget that the first war crime charged at Nuremberg was waging aggressive war?
I mean this: mainstream politicians NEVER attack an opponent they think is far behind. The McCain campaign, we've heard, is worried sick about New Hampshire, and they thought a slam at me would help. Ha! Of course,
it only strengthened our forces.
Then, after the debate, Rudy Giuliani walked up to me and said, "Oooh, you sure have a LOT of supporters." It's only the beginning, I told him.
Indeed, he could have told that by the crowd outside after the debate. Mitt Romney had a few people, but no one else did. We, on the other hand, had about 500 enthusiastic revolutionaries, plus a boat, a trolley, and two planes towing lighted signs. As I looked out at the crowd, I thought: the establishment has no idea of what they are facing. We have an army of freedom, prosperity, and peace. As the LA Times political blog noted the other day, the British also thought they had no problem with the Americans--until Yorktown.
But we have an astoundingly short time before the first contests. The Iowa caucuses are on January 3, the New Hampshire primary is on January 8, and Nevada and South Carolina are both on January 19. We have only 30 days to stake our claim to the nomination, and to the new America that restores the ideals of the founders, and leads the world through free enterprise, a sound dollar, the rule of law, and peaceful example. Not through inflation and bombs.
Help me surprise the neocons and all the establishment with our success. Help me build the foundation for the America we all want. Send your most generous contribution: https://www.ronpaul2008.c.... The military-industrial complex, the biased media, the big banks, the Fed, the waterboarders, and the IRS don't like what we're doing. But every good American is applauding us, and daring to hope for a better future.
Please, help me give it to them, to us, to all Americans to come. Keep this revolution growing and winning:

Ron

Message from Ron Paul
The Neocons are planning WW IV? Did we skip past WW III?
Amen
The problem is which one of Bushs relatives or friends are going to be counting the votes. We know that the last two elections were fraudulent what hsa been done as far as election reform?? How come we can't vote from our PC these days, why isn't there a voting week instead of one day? It seems that the system is set up for fraud.

What Can We Do to Get Votes Day One
Let us now focus on what we can do to get more votes for the Republican nomination. Please let us all start writing postcards/letters in SC, IA, and NH. Keep in the mind this marketing campaign for newspaper ads is vital to the Iowa caucuses. How much money do we need to raise for this effort in NH & IA?

First they ignore you...

The ignore part is very
The ignore part is very powerful. A perfect example of this right now is Rush Limbaugh. I've listened to him for years because I love to hear him rip the left, which he is expert at. But he also has no trouble ripping Republicans whom he deems as not "Reagan-esque" enough for his liking.
Limbaugh's silence on Ron Paul has been deafening. The only thing he has said is that Paul doesn't have a "snowball's chance in Hell," and a couple passing quips about conspiracy theories. He is clearly not a fan of Paul, yet no direct attacks. This is not Rush-like -- at all. For example, he hasn't aired anti-Paul stuff from his parody guy, Paul Shanklin (who is simply hilarious), but they've done plenty of anti-McCain stuff. When he talks about recent events, he touches on the three Democratic front runners and nearly all the Republican candidates -- except Paul (and Tancredo, who really does have no chance). It is a glaring omission which speaks volumes to me as a longtime listener. Believe me, Rush Limbaugh is terrified of Ron Paul.
Whatever you think of Rush, any fair and objective assessment of him will conclude that he has a boat-load of clout. There a millions of Republican voters who literally get 100% of their talking points from him. His silence on Paul is a calculated move, because he knows that there are no chinks in Paul's armor. There is nothing to do except attack the "kook" angle, but that is easily debunked. The only viable option is to pretend Ron Paul doesn't exist, and hope no intelligent supporters slip past his call screener and make a coherent argument.
When you back Rush into a corner with logic, he tends to balk. As he so often states, the point of having callers is to make the host look good. This is why you will rarely hear a juicy call slip by; his antennae are very keen. It would be quite telling for his audience to hear him disarmed on live radio, where his only option would be to fall back on the "no chance in Hell" argument. Unfortunately for Rush, he hasn't applied that criteria evenly, because he still spouts off endlessly about McCain. The difference is, McCain is full of holes and easy to take shots at.

Rush's silence
I agree. Besides wanting Ron Paul to go away, he can't say much because he always likes to go back months and years to replay things he said to prove he was right.
Back before Ron Paul announced his candidacy, Walter Williams made a brief mention of Ron Paul when he was guest-hosting. He was not a guest host again for months. I was beginning to thing Rush banned him because of that. He has been on once that I can remember since then, but no mention of Ron Paul though.

Polls: Consider the missing 26%
I was looking at a recent "official" presidential poll in the Washington [com]Post the other day that was hyping the supposed surge of Huckabee and then did a little simple arithmatic and said to myself, "hmmm": I'm paraphrasing this from memory, but it was something like Huckabee 18%, Romney 17%, Giuliani 13%, McCain 12%, Paul 8%, Thompson 6%. This only adds up to 74%. Are 26% of the voters really for Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, Alan Keyes, and undecided?
It is a known fact that polled voters ARE often NOT given Ron Paul's name as a choice, so those that support Dr. Paul respond "neither", and they get thrown into the "unsure" category which isn't reported. IMHO, we're really over 20% and the front runner. I can hardly wait til Iowa and NH when the "official" MSM news gets turned upside down!

updated poll
Found this at http://www.politics1.com :
"A new Des Moines Register poll of likely Iowa GOP caucus participants confirms Mike Huckabee has moved into the lead in the Hawkeye State. The numbers: Huckabee - 29%, Mitt Romney - 24%, Rudy Giuliani - 13%, Fred Thompson - 9%, John McCain and Ron Paul tied with 7% each, Tom Tancredo - 6%, and Duncan Hunter - 1%..."
Ok, now only 3% undecided? Hmmmm.
If you are not OUTRAGED, you're not paying attention!
Does anyone need another
Does anyone need another reason to think Ron is awesome?
