**BREAKING** House Votes to Cut All Funds to ACORN

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) offered the Defund-ACORN bill to the Student Loans bill. The House vote convincingly to cut ALL federal funds to ACORN.

Interesting side note, Dr Paul did not vote. Maybe this is why he chose to not vote, a poster in the comments section of biggovernment.com wrote:

"This is a game of distraction. This is slapped into a bill for government control of financial aid. This is NOT a good thing.... this was a political stunt to ramrod BAD legislation through."

This bill was attached to the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2009

That it would be ACORN that brought about bi-partisanship?
Those numbers are quite good. But the reasons are different, of course.
Dems are distancing themselves. Republicans are happy to take out a group that spends taxpayer dollars registering Democratic voters.
