It's been out almost two years, but I keep going back to it.

I'm old too, 51, but I always liked Bjork. I thought the symbolism and lyrics mixed with that pounding music made for an intense scene. It raises energy and thus emotion.

I think it makes a point which may otherwise be difficult to express in words. There are symbols of group-think, puppetry, close-mindedness, independent thinking, statism etc. All are concepts that may otherwise be difficult to express adequately with just words.

The statements made by the independent thinker urging others to become independent, punctuate and solidify the negative aspects of the herd mentality. And, of course, the man pulling all the strings, hidden behind the wall with the independent thinker on the other side, shows the real state of our world today, with the herd jumping when the "leaders"/players say jump. The basic message, think for yourself, is exceptionally well symbolized by the "brain wave" flag raised around the whole scene.

Anyway, that's just my unbiased, rotten opinion. ;)

Very good interpretation, Maeve.

You're quite good with words, yourself! Blessings back to you!
