Has the RP Revolution finally awakened and taken root?
I know many of you patriots have been passionately fighting this battle for several years now. While we suffered through the debates and elections with successive disappointments, the forces of evil always seemed to prevail. However, in spite of the setbacks, liberty movement always arose from the ashes and answered the bell for the next round.
I don't know about you guys but the green shoots I am seeing are not of a recovering economy, but the fresh blossoms of freedoms. Indeed the green shoots of our movement seem to be springing up all over! With the events of the last few months it feels like the mass awakening has finally begun and the sleeping giant is now rising.
While I am acutely aware of the battles remaining, by the Grace of God it looks to me like the RP Revolution has weathered the storm and is now ready to kick some CONSTITUTIONAL ASS!
It's a convergence of many things happening now
I don't think it's possible to point to any one thing and say, Yes, that's it! That's what sparked the revolution - and we are in a revolution now, albeit a fairly quiet one.
Ron Paul's message began to trickle out over the past few years and of course when he ran for president a lot of people took notice. Now he has a kind of 'statesman' appeal and the MSM seems to have softened toward him. A TIME video would have been unthinkable a year ago. Our efforts at Daily Paul have been noteworthy; the money bombs, the meet-up groups, the blimp and other things have helped bring a spotlight to our guy.
All of this would be moot if Obama had not stumbled so obviously. If he had kept his word and brought the troops home by March, 2009, as he pledged, that would have stolen a lot of the Ron Paul spotlight. But he did not. Worse, he has mismanaged his office, committed new troops to the MidEast, has no solution to the financial crisis, unemployment or anything else. He is really steering our country toward socialism.
Another factor is the populace, which is already fed up with Obama. It began with the massive bailouts of AIG and the auto industries. Nobody wanted it - but the first $700 billion was approved, via some arm-twisting. But the bailout went to bonuses and not to the creation of new jobs; this meant that the unemployment figures continued to rise. They are still rising. The dollar is in decline and Geitner and Bernanke don't know how to keep it from falling further. As we have seen the financial mismanagement is breath-taking. Add to that the likelihood of forced Swine Flu vaccinations, which even health care workers refuse to take. The populace is angry, and for good reason.
What we have seen in the past few months is that Ron Paul's star has risen to its highest point. Newscasters (well, some) are saying that Ron Paul was, 'right all along.' This wonderful, principled man stands like a beacon when compared to the Presidents we have had.
So yes, it has taken root. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Thanks for the post.

People are going to be disillusioned with the two party political system in this country and look for an alternative. That doesn't necessarily mean a third party will become viable, but it does mean folks are going to rebel enough against their major parties to no longer take orders from the top. Let's hear it for the grassroots!

There has to be a day of reckoning between the neocons and the libertarians, which is hopefully scheduled for the 2012 republican primary.
Only then will we know if the Ron Paul Revolution has finally taken hold.
We do need a leader for it though.
There is no one out there who can replace Ron Paul right now or come even close. That's the main problem (and no it's not Jesse Ventura...jeez)
So Paul better keep exercising and stay mentally active so he is ready for another run because there is no one to replace him sadly.

My impression is that most people
once they realize they have been deceived, will continue to question and learn what is really going on.
The "tea partiers" & "marchers" are plenty angry BUT

someone says it! Yes there have been signs of progress. I wish some here would be happy about it instead of seeming to act like the love of freedom and fight for liberty is being "hijacked" from them as they put it. I hope they will learn to share instead of feeling like someone is infringing on their territory or stealing their idea or stealing their toys. I can understand somewhat being leary of newcomers and people that have suddenly changed but gees give people a chance. Alot has happened to make them see we have been right all along. Don't ruin it for them,yourselves or the country! Be happy and don't let the struggles we have been through make you bitter. We have many struggles ahead and need all the help we can get. They need us and we need them. People do change! Many of us did when Ron Paul cured our apathy. Well you don't think others are waking up in light of what has been happening in this country? Yes it took alot and it will take alot more for some and unfortunately they will likely see it. Things are going to get worse than they are now before they get better. At least folks are seeing where we are headed now and are standing up more and more. Forgiveness is very important in these times. People have been misled and lied to and indoctrinated into false patriotism. When they figure that out and want to change their hearts and minds and stand up for what is right we should support them and be patient with them not hold a grudge or waste time punishing them. Help them along on their journey. Don't you remember how hard it was when you began to learn the reality of the mess we are in and how deep it all goes. It is alot to take all at once. You can't expect them to take ALL of it in at one time. I see much hope and have been very excited and happy except when I read some of the comments on here sometimes. I think some of you are afraid you won't know what to do if things are right. Trust me there will always be something to work on to keep things right IF we ever get them close to right. If we haven't learned anything we should have learned that it takes constant vigilance to mantain a free republic.

Yes, there are some developments that appear positive. Let's not rest a moment until the job is completely done. It took a long time to get to the current very sad state of affairs in our country, the people opposing us were relentless and patient, we must at least match those attributes.

Questioning HR1207 was probably not the popular thing to do on this forum, so I commend you for your courage in speaking up.
I, too, suspect 1207 is being ~allowed~... and likely for the reasons you state.

We have already seen conditioning with talk of Amero and global currency, however, we are not hearing a loud call for appropriate replacement of the Fed, a loud call for sound money.

When mainstream media gives airtime to things that do not seemingly fit the agenda of those in control, I have to ask the same question as above: Why?
Most people in this movement should be aware by now of the control reaching into government and media and that those pulling the strings have an agenda and interests that do not align with this movement.
Those in control are not going to just let go.
As such, as more people are awakened and more candidates advocate liberty and abiding by the Constitution, I don't see it as absurd to consider the likelihood that some things are, or will be, hijacked, or co-opted. Nor do I see it as pessimistic to consider that likelihood.
