"Ron Paul remains longshot for GOP nom" - AP via Yahoo!

I was pleasantly surprised to log into my Yahoo! email and see a featured story from AP on Ron Paul...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070803/ap_on_el_pr/ron_paul

It includes the usual put downs and negative spin, but it's all publicity.

Wake up! Ron Paul a Longshot for What?

Longshot for the Mainstream Media to ever cover him and support him. If he only got half the bought and sold Media have done for Guiliani, McCain, and Romney, this decision would already be over.

Ron Paul will be our next President whether they like it or not! The People will take back control of this Country like it was intended to be.

Rush Limbaugh's, Sean Hannity's, and the rest of the bought and paid for Talking Heads don't matter anymore. Get on the Internet and forget they exist. Their ideas are not worth listening to anymore.

You may want to go to Hannity's Freedom concerts though. You may hear some good music and musicians but it will all be clouded in false Patriotism.

The following is a National quiz I have just posted...

We are fighting in Iraq for:
1) Because Osama Bin Ladin ordered the collapse of the Twin Towers.
2) Because Osama Bin Ladin and the supposed Alquaida was working with Saddam to destroy America.
3) Because there were Weapons of Mass Destruction stored in Iraq.

We can go on and on People but all they want to talk about now is that if we pull out, people will die. Part of the "We can't lose Insane Mentality". Our own People are already dying.

Pull your heads out America! You're not this stupid or are you? We need confidence in our fellow man not to be intimidated and rendered useless by their own lack of courage and will. The Insane are depending on the People being spineless.

Re another Hatchet Job

You could infer that some new indicator , poll or survey, was reported or a press release issued.
But no, the only polls talked about are not referenced by any organization or by date even.
There is repetition galore of the phrase "long shot", as any good debater knows repetition is your friend, keep saying it and they will believe it.

In addition over simplified statements of Dr. Paul's positions stated in a negative way, as well as quotes taken out of context to spin them in a negative way.

Where is the reporting of facts?
There is no new information transmitted in this "article".
Ther must have been a quota spot open up in the news stream, I can hear an editor saying,"whoa, there are no hit job "articles" currently about Ron Paul, let us assign a "reporter" to fill this void."

So why was this "article" written? As I mentioned in "my" headline, as a hatchet job. That is my opinion, ( I state) which the "reporter" did not have the honesty to say that the "article" was an opinion piece.

...and then we win. ;)

More like racist and bigoted Media.

I read the article this morning. It really disturbs me because every major newspaper and media makes Dr. Paul out to be loony to discredit him. In addition the AP keeps calling him a long shot presidential candidate. I’m sick over the propaganda that comes from the major media outlets. I even read articles that link Dr. Paul to so called "White Supremacists Hate Groups" - which I find offensive in itself because anytime a white person gets mentioned they are automatically considered a hater or racist. Ironically any group that is non-white can have special groups that are only for their color, origin or what ever and that is considered acceptable! Talk about hypocrisy to the fullest. So, now the news media has gone even further to indicate that Dr. Paul is a bigoted racist. PLEASE

Learning life’s lessons I have discovered that anyone that is quick to scream racist, bigoted or preach tolerance is the true racist, bigot and intolerance person or group out their. The bias media views are racist and bigoted – they are no different.

James Madison, father of the U.S. Consitutition, said: "If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy."

Note the blatant media bias

Note the blatant media bias in the "Yahoo" article. They reference just "Polls," as if the crapola they've been used to financing and controlling (before the internet came along to provide balance) were the only thing worthy of the name "polls."

What about being honest, instead, and calling their dinosaur, landline-dependent, biased polls what they are, or at least MENTION our absolute asskicking dominance of each and every online post-debate poll, which can't be "spammers" unless someone can explain the conspiracy??? I'll tell you why: Antilibertarian Media Bias. It's a severe problem, with 0 dedicated media bias groups addressing it and most actively trying to ignore it.

AP is the enemy

This is not an article about Dr. Paul. It is an article about the impossibility and inadvisability of Ron Paul being president.

The AP has built an undeserved reputation as an unbiased news source. They are in fact masters of mass manipulation. The message of this article, as with every AP report so far that mentions Paul, is that he is not a viable presidential candidate and that his issue stances are unsupportable to voters. They express "surprise" at his strong support and carefully suggest to the populace that it is a short-term phenomenon. It's deeply irresponsible journalism from an organization (a tax-exempt non-profit!) that no-one seems to hold accountable. If Murdoch bought the AP, it would probably be a step toward journalistic objectivity!!!

For all the talk about the importance of the NY Times article, this syndicated one by the Associated Press will get read by more people in a wider part of the globe than any other so far. It will be picked up by dozens of papers without even being scanned by editors. Go to Google News and do a search for "Ron Paul" and you will see how many have run it in the opening hours of its availability. If you see it in your local paper, it should be responded to there, because the AP organization itself is inscrutable and inaccessible to the general public.

Agreed, AP is and has been

Agreed, AP is and has been pro-big-government biased before, but I hope this bust of their usual bias was blatant-enough that someone will finally notice. It certainly was easy enough to nail 'em on this one, off the top of my head, and anyone else here could have done it, too...

And I'll try to get around to writing to the local mullet wrapper, but just touching the thing is SO unpleasant...I guess today's the day, though, if they ran this dreck!
