Remember..
...it went as low as 70 last summer and recovered.
Nobody wants to see the dollar crash more than I do (as that may be the opportunity to form a truly free market anarchist society of equals) but these things can take a long time to play out.
My worst fear is that after a few more years of ups and downs the statists might regain their footing and it'll be back to the slow boil for us frogs.

one thing I want you guys to look at...... the dollar has lost almost a full point in 24 hours.. we should have seen gold up 25.00 to 30.00 bucks.. instead we got what 12.00? do you know the reason why? look at the cots.. the 1 or 3 large US banks have a record number of short contracts on the gold and silver market.. last time this happened gold went from over a 1000 to 800 and silver went from 21 to 8.... that was when goldman sachs and 2 or 3 other banks could manipulate the market.. now they are going up against China.. China has figured it out that if they pull their physical gold and silver from London and the US, the banks have no silver or gold to give to those who want to take delivery.. the shorts are getting squeezed... this is gonna get good!

For those wanting to keep some cash, you can keep it in Japanese Yen by buying the stock symbol FXY. Peter Schiff recommends Japanese Yen as the most stable currency.
Not so.
The yen is an odd duck, and goes counter to the other currencies, including the dollar. I disagree with Schiff. I was in yen for 6 months and lost a little. It just doesn't move much.
The strongest currencies now are: the Australian Dollar, the NZ dollar, the Swiss Franc, the Euro, the Swedish Krone and the Swedish Krona.
I don't have any gold or silver, but I have done quite well in some of the above currencies.
You can open an account at Everbank.com and buy different individual currencies or 'baskets' - where 3 or 4 currencies are combined in one trade. You can sign up for their free newsletter, The Daily Pfennig. It is just great and fun to read, too.

i started purchasing silver in 2007 after i discovered Dr. Paul. I found him just in time. i lost my job in fall of 08, though i got pretty well prepared in that one year while i was still making good money. I landed a job this past spring, it was a hefty pay cut, but its stable, close to home, and its about the most fun job ive ever had. i allot some FRN's every paycheck to trade for silver. its such a steal. worthless paper for a semi rare precious metal that the chinese are now drooling over. thank the good lord for Dr. Paul.

The Chinese are in control, and unfortunately for the US they have it right. The Chinese Yuan backed by gold will be the next reserve currency, along with approximately 5 others. The US dollar will be in the background, and it will all be due to greed, and over extention of credit via the Elite, Wall Street, and the Bankers. Mark my words, this time next year the dollar will be something of the past, because it was worthless, and backed by nothing, this I do know.
