I believe that there is no

I believe that there is no difference between the freedom of speech for ALL insurance companies which received this gag order, or your freedom of speech. The point is that someones freedom of speech was taken. Yes they were using the health care reform bill to there advantage, but it is there right to say how it will effect medicare, as it is yours to say the contrary. However, WE the People cannot let the government take the first amendment rights away from any of us.If we do it's just the beginning of the end.

But AARP wasn't gagged

AARP, another Medicare Advantage provider, has been sending out pro-ObamaCare mailers, and running television ads for many weeks. That was okay. The staffer who took the fall for putting the quietus on Humana and letting AARP rip away is a former Baucus aide.

Is there anything that's not rotten in the District of Columbia?

McConnell Right

As a Kentuckian he represents me. I'm not a fan of this man, a typical establishment Republican.
But this time he's right. This is a free speech issue.
Should a gag order be given to anyone preventing free speech on a website? If this can be done to Humana, it can be done to you and me.
I give the man credit, this time.

Humana ain't you and me

Mitch would be right if Mitch was speaking about how people on medicare should have the right to buy into private insurance and the gag order is preventing people from obtaining private healthcare, instead, Mitch is making this a free speach for corporations, and that's BS.

The BIG news here is people on government insurance are being denied information about private healthcare. Mitch's solution: Freedom of speach for corporations is not the solution for people.. corporations are not a better Nanny than the state, especially if you do not want a nanny.

lol they ARE a better

nanny than the government is - as long as the government isn't involved to nanny the corporations!

I look at it this way - if there is no state backing of businesses, it's a much better situation for the following reason: People vote their reps once every 4 years and justify to themselves the absolute corruption and intervention by these people by saying "it's okay, WE voted them into office!". Corporations, on the other hand, are voted for every day - WE willfully choose to vote for them with our dollars. No vote for them, and they are OUT OF BUSINESS.

(As long as the government isn't there to prop them up or nanny them).

As long as there is a VA, Medicare, Medicade

The USA is the biggest healthcare provider in the USA. It's not as if you get much of a choice when going to the doctor.. brand name Vs generic medications... but a blood test? This is a market that isn't free. It's government controlled already. This is the problem because Govt is setting the price, which private insurance can't match. The $138 BILLION dollars the govternment is cutting, is from it's OWN budget... the insurance companies don't want to be left covering people for services Medicare isn't going to set a price, like dental and vision. Some people who have medicare advantage, are covered for those services... and that's going to be very expensive for the insurance companies

Payback for Humana's campaign contributions is all it is

Apparently the Obama administration has (Democrat partison dept) has "gagged" one of Mitch's BIG contributors wrote him a letter and threatened him... because he's speaking for THE COMPANY without naming them.

1:50 he talks about Medicare Advantage being cut... which is saying that those on medicare, who seek to buy into private healthcare insurance for more protection, are being denied information... but this is a red herring... oh it's sure to be the thing that upsets humans... but Mitch isn't concerned about the humans.. he's concerned about the corporations, as he says:

2:10 "Citizens wether grouped as individuals or companies."

Let me make that clear: CITIZENS AS INDIVIDUALSOR COMPANIES (caps as in how they spell your name)

3: 15 he moves to make it a "Free Speach" argument for corporations.

He's fighting for the right of a corporation to be able to say whatever they want to say about whatever...

The fact he feels the need to protect the corporations who made the complaint to him, his colleage proves Humana

5:15 Humana Insurance... finally he names them, and expands it to all insurance companies.

When he says, SF, he means Pelousi, Montana, Baucas, and Obama.

5:58 Then he defends DEMOCRACY as being at our core....

I'm sorry he is not standing for the people to have the option to buy Medicare advantage, but making it into a partisian fight for his job and Humana's backing.

Good find

Certainly sounds like a conflict of interest, to say the least, if the senator who introduced the legislation is the one asking the government to issue gag orders so people can't disagree with his bill.

But who ultimately imposed the gag order?... and with what justification?

it's a conflict of interests allright.

this video baffles me and jiminy, i don't know who imposed the gag order.

i got this from a FB friend who really hates obama. he really gets into it.
he had posted this comment with the video:

"This is the most repulsive bullying bullshit tactic by this White Crib yet!
"We gonna transFORM America!" - BHO...Yeah, pal, into WHAT?
And IDIOTS actually wonder where the Nazi/Hitler comparisons are coming from?...DaaaaYUM!"

This boggles the mind.

This boggles the mind. Unreal what some people in our government are doing. Seems that whoever the colleague is that this Senator is talking about must have either lost their mind or forgot that we have freedoms & rights in this country which the government has a duty to protect. Maybe the senate colleague had his fingers crossed or something when he took his oath of office... ;-) That might explain it.
