YAL to Overtake College Republicans on Campuses Nationwide - link

0 votes

I go to UW-Madison, we are making a lot of noise on campus. Apparently people are starting to notice us and someone wrote a nice big article in the Badger Herald, our school newspaper with circulation over 20,000 I believe. The author is of course left-leaning, but keep the comments upbeat and thank him for spreading awareness about the group on our campus, so he will continue writing about us positively.

The GOP is on life support

It will have to be paddled and injected with a good dose of freedom, Liberty, limited government, and personal responsibility, or it will have its face covered. The birth of a new party, Constitution party or maybe libertarian party will rise.

The messages of constitutional government and individual liberty must be catching on because there were a tremendous amount of people that came out to the call-out meeting last night; It was unlike anything a movement like this has seen before on a college campus, it was Awesome! (You know you are doing something right when a group with a classical republican/libertarian swing to it has more people show up to it's meetings than the College Republicans do.) - from Nico Perrino, YAL IU President

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul

Good work, Sentinel...

Good work, Sentinel...

Texas State YAL

I know for a fact that the TSU YAL is larger than the College Republicans and the two groups are respectful of each other.

i like most nader supporters

aside from the few jabs, that went pretty well.

question

Is there really any similarity between the Ron Paul movement and what National Review was promoting?

Bill Buckley HATED the John Birch Society, and he also thought Murray Rothbard (the enemy of the State, hehe) was corrosive to his magazine's plan for big government,

I also wanted to point out...

That I emailed the columnist thanking him for the piece. He replied and commented that he was very impressed with our dedication and activism and thought that within 2 or 3 years we would overtake College Republicans. That's great in and of itself, but I personally feel that by Spring semester 2010, if not this semester that feat will have been accomplished at least at my campus. WE ARE A MOVEMENT, WE ARE YOUNG, WE ARE STRONG, AND WE WILL WIN.

Nice. Is there any more

Nice. Is there any more important demographic than coleege students? Doubt it. Build sentinal, build!

The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.

Fellow Wisconsinite

Hey,

I would definitely like to exchange information with you as I will be attending UWM fall of 2010. I will be getting out of military service and want to get as politically involved as possible. I plan on running for some sort of government after school and definitely want to make an impact earlier that that.

For Liberty,
Brad Baack

BUMP BUMP BUMP and

BUMP BUMP BUMP and comment....Madison needs some libertarian education.

He's a Nader voter

I'm a four time Nader voter... Nader just came out with his first novel..

You have much in common with him, legalizing hemp, ending the wars. Teach him about money as debt.

WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

nice intro

Nice intro article, though I don't understand why this is in the article "Ron Paul is, at least from my calculations, a rambling reactionary."

It doesn't contribute to the article, and I think the reactionary part is factually incorrect.
