Oranges From Africa

0 votes

Went to that big chain store that has all the supercenters and has the company name in blue letters with the little satanic sunburst beside it, yesterday. ( sorry to admit it ) ( never again ) and picked up an couple of oranges. I looked at them and didn't see any identifying labels on any of them. I picked up two and went on my way looking for the rest of my made in china sh@t.

Came home tonight, and decided to eat one. Hope I don't get sick and die. Because after I did, I was HORRIFIED to learn the things came from SOUTH FRICKIN AFRICA!!! ( found the label ) I can't believe this is how we go down. I can't believe it. Someone tell me this is a bad dream. Not to mention I paid over 60C APIECE FOR THEM. What the H@ll are they doing in DC? are they insane? It's not bad enough that YOU B@STARDS have out sourced millions of manufacturing jobs for your own greed, but noew you F-ING with my ORANGES?

you sorry sons-of-@@@@@@! TRAITORS to your own people at the behest of a few evil people! HOW DARE YOU.

At least my relatives will be able to tell stories of me to they're kids, KNOWING I didn't stick my HEAD in MY A@@ and PRETEND this isn't happening!

Get over yourself.

Nothing wrong with foreign trade. Google "Smoot-Hawley Tariff", read and learn.

Well, one positive thing for

Well, one positive thing for those who are into b-17 to prevent cancer, I read that african orange seeds contain b-17(while ones from the U.S. do not). Here is a link

Get used to it.

Free trade agreements. Globalism. Corporate Greed. One World government. UN. NWO. GMO. Slavemart.

I find this thread repulsive, and the originator to be a dimwit.

There are decent, hard working people in South Africa producing products that they sell into the open market. Citrus fruit are among these products as are gold, silver and platinum. Should the South African consumers be repulsed by buying wheat grown in the USA?

Do you object to buying gold in the world market, a considerable amount of which is produced in South Africa?

You certainly have a diseased mind to object to what part of the planet those things you consume come from. I suppose you hate driving around in your car that is fueled by oil produced around the world, since 60% of it comes from out of the USA.

What is your problem with South Africa? Are you a racist? Or are you just low intelligence piece of crap whose mind is sputtering along thinking it works? My suggestion to you is to stick your head up your ass so that you will look like you think.

I believe that Ron Paul would be sickened by your thinking.

By the way, the clemtines carried by Sam's Club and WalMart here in Missouri that come from South Africa, I find to be far superior in taste to those that come from the Collectivist Republic of California.

I highly doubt Dr. Paul would ever endorse the ANC and it's

murderous past.
Winnie and Nelson gleefully rejoiced in the "necklacing" of the political opposition of their own people. Not people of peace.

I think you missed the point completely. We have a few orange producing states here in the U.S., that are more than likely to be safer for consumption since they didn't have to travel 1/2 way around the world to get here.

I don't care

what you think of me. I know who I am. Yeah, I OBJECT. I object to an orange that could be grown in this country, but because of some red-tape beauracratic bs/minnow, it's not. Instead it's flown half way around the world for us to consume at a much higher price. Meanwhile, the poor third world orange picker, is exploited and probably can't even afford to buy himself a stupid orange, the worker probably couldn't even buy it there anyway's, because they are getting a much higher price for it here instead!. While people are starving in each country! and you call me a racist? Don't worry where my head is, I think enough for the both of us. PS. I object to it being flown half way around the world and yes, I think this might give it a better chance of becoming tainted. The more hands it exchanges the more chance it has to become tainted! It's common sense

I'm now a food racist....wtf? Write that down ppl. That's a new one.

Deleted after further consideration.

Confrontation only drives a person deeper into their delusion, and serves no purpose, so I deleted what I at first posted as a rebuttal.

But I do suggest that you remove free from your handle as it is clearly false advertising.

It might be because the water was cut off in California.

California and Florida are our biggest orange producers, but with these radical environmentalists led by Al Gore destroying our whole country, look for other shortages of made or grown in America products.

The woods and lumber mills are almost completely closed down in the Pacific north west.

beesting

While the Africa-USA-China story is significant, what would make

you think South African oranges will make you sick? You don't think the media will show you the absolute splendor of Africa, do you?
It sickens me that we are seeing the start of something so big that it's hard to even grasp. China's got the money, the USA has the bombs, and Africa has the natural resources. The contest is underway. It can't turn out well.

Because it tasted

Like sh@t while I was eating it. It just pis@es me off that NOTHING is made in this country anymore! Now we have to struggle to get decent food at a decent price? Why don't we produce sh@t for this F_ING country first? Im sick of being dependant on 3 world countries while these greedy b@stards allow this country to stagnate and become one.

ignoramus

You really come off as ignorant. There is now way around it. Do you honestly think a South African orange is any different than a Brazilian or Floridian orange? Having been to South Africa many times I can attest to its agricultural bounty with the produce of this country being on of the best things about it.

judge not, monticello...

or you may be judged...

why attack the messenger? just because you don't like his delivery?
why not just address the message...attacking the messenger has distinct sinister overtones...

the question is, and remains, why do we have to get our citrus from africa? and still pay 60 cents a piece for them?

the answer:
because slave labor is virtually free in africa (that is NOT racist, btw) it is a truth that the socialists understand all too well...
the profits go directly to the corporate fascists instead of paying decent wages to americans because the fat cat beaurocrat won't accept less "profit"...

oh, yeah, did i mention that the corporatists already stole the orchards from all of the mom and pop americans who originally owned the land...sorry, my oversight

lets deal with those realities, shall we?

seriously folks, all seasonal availabilty arguments aside...shouldn't we be supporting our citizens at home before we ever go anywhere else to supplement our needs...thats all i, and maybe this thread's originator, is suggesting

O Captain, My Captain, rise up and hear the bells!

its 'cos I owe ya, my young friend...
Rockin' the FREE world in Tennessee since 1957!

Look I won't resort

to anymore name calling, where they COME FROM is NOT THE POINT. The point is we are DEPENDANT on these countries because we don't, or won't do it ourselves. We are allowing them to shut down our farms in this country thus driving up the price! And yes I do think an Africian orange is different than one from say, Florida or California! It has to travel half way around the world to get to us! I don't like being manipulated by a bunch of globalists!

It's not orange season.

We are the second largest exporter of oranges in the world. You're lucky to have an orange in september. There's starving kids that would love an African orange.

Yes. Did you read the availability?

Sorry, you're right. I should have said, it's the very end of orange season.

Haven't been to a WM

in over 2 years now....shopping at locally owned businesses or just not buying.

you're ignorant

South Africa has been a dominant force in agriculture for years. It has developed state of the art techniques sought after the world over. Thank goodness for Southern Hemisphere countries that allow us to enjoy fruits and vegetables year round that otherwise would be unavailable.

Thanks

for saying what I was thinking..CA is just about gone, thanks for SA. Food supply is good............no food supply bad.

And you're an a@@ sir/her/it

What California and Florida can't HANDLE my fruits? I wasn't aware that my sh$t had to be flown from HALF way around the world so they can charge me 68C a piece for them! Picked by third world workers who probably don't get sh@t for doing it! SO they can shut down MY COUNTRIES FARMS over a F_ING minnow and you're calling me ignorant? WTF.

Calm down

it's just what it is, and some of us knew it a while ago. Do something about it rather than taking your anger out on us.
Check your food before you buy it, favor your local markets........do some research. This isn't new news.

Colchester, New London County, Connecticut

Im not taking my anger out on anyone.

I was just responding to frustration!

LOL

I really enjoyed this. start emailing it to people, you'll know it's a success when someone sends it back to you in a year.

Food is a frontline

in the world's political fortunes. If you read a twelve ounce bottle of Dole fruit juice, it says: may contain ingredients from Chile, South Korea, Turkey, Australia, etc, etc, etc... The juice is from 7 continents (lol).

Go look into Monsanto, if you really want to get your blood pressure up. Your stomach is the target of an unbelievable industrial biotechnology food experiment, promoted by the first Bush white house. Stranger than science fiction. Monsanto has almost completely cornered the global market on seed, and wants to control all seed. SEED!

Probably the most important choices you can make, if you want to be a revolutionary, are breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Here's a few trailers to drive that thought home.
