Great interview with his campaign plans and issues.

Mr. Schiff Goes to Washington… He Hopes
Sep 24, 2009 11:26am EDT
by Peter Gorenstein

Peter Schiff - financial adviser, author and predictor of the financial crisis - hopes to add U.S. Senator to his bio. Schiff is running as a Republican for the Connecticut senate seat currently held by five-term incumbent Christopher Dodd, a Democrat.

Schiff has never held elective office but thinks his lack of political experience is an asset. "I think we need more citizen legislators," he says. "I think we need people to go to Washington who don't really want to be there, who actually want to do some civic duty."

Are those Dodd's good qualities?

.

After 30+ years, what can you say...

he is corrupt, or perhaps "the system" corrupted him.

Term limits would keep them all less corrupt/corruptible.

Please Peter

Every interview he gives he sounds more like a Senator than the last one but he has yet to do (at least)3 things that his opponents are doing and that he should be doing:
(1)Give interviews to local TV and radio
(2)Meet with Republican Town Committees
(3)Press the flesh, travel the state meeting your fellow nutmeggers

this is the best interview...

i have ever seen peter give, and he has given many very good interviews...

he is on track to win and beat the "machine"

what will the forces of dodd do to "neutralize" him?

better watch those diebold machines during the primary because one of the most important statements of the wriiten report here is that peter will have a tough time in the primaries...(a tough time?)

i think not! i think a split field definately gives peter the advantage if we can mobilize our troops on the ground in connecticut...we have more resources, more passion, and just as much money as anyone in this race but, more importantly, we have "right" on our side!

all things being equal, peter wins this race hands down and running away

but, all things are not equal and he will have to win against the entrenched corruption of chris dodd and the insiders of washington...we are in historic times, people...in connecticut and in kentucky...

place all of your efforts into these two races now! your children's future is at stake!

O Captain, My Captain, rise up and hear the bells!

its 'cos I owe ya, my young friend...
Rockin' the FREE world in Tennessee since 1957!

ecorob: Schiff was very impressive.

Dodd is history if only people will listen.

If people will listen

and not just let it go in one ear and out the other.

peter's gonna make it!

he's gonna rip right thru the others and wipe the floor
with dodd!
