AT&T Poll....Dr. Paul needs help!

....Sort of like that Florida straw poll where people could vote more than once.

I just voted (one time only) and RP is currently in 3rd with 17%.

Hi all. I have been following these boards for awhile but never posted before.
I am surprised that nobody has brought up the Minnesota governor's race several years ago. The one that Jesse Ventura won. The polls in late October placed him in 3rd, with 21% of the vote. He ended up winning with 37%, 4 points ahead of the 2nd place finisher. If I recall, NO poll placed him higher than 3rd. (This is easy to verify using Google searches of old news.)
I guess the big problem there, is the media was up against tons of 18-20 year old world wrestling fans, many of whom I would assume never bother to read the newspapers to "know" that Jesse would only be a spoiler. Anyway, the media failed to manipulate that election.

Yes, polls are clearly fixed. The media had some type of spin to explain how all these Ventura voters failed to hit their "polling statistics" ... but the bottom line is, I think most of these polls are out there to sway opinions, rather than report opinions.

The fact that a large portion of Ron Paul's support is coming from college students has me very hopeful, as it was younger voters who foiled the Minnesota election.

The national polls are bought paid for and fixed. There is no if about it.
The results of an internet poll before we vote just mean someone else got there first, nothing more.
First, you advise to not donate to the blimp and to donate to 30 days to Iowa (like it is an either or) and now it is to stop voting in online polls.
Thanks, but I think I will pass on your advice. It sounds like you are counterproductive to our movement.

These kinds of polling efforts are one of the most effective ways to counter-act the disadvantage that the RP campaign gets dealt by the media's unfair and/or absense of coverage. These polls can say a lot to undecided voters that want to follow trends.

We just let other supporters know where the polls are and the supporters decide who they vote on. Know one twist any arms here. This is still (for the time being) a "FREE" country.

No because if any of the other candidates had an active following you'd think they would be winning in polls. We have an active following who are dedicated to voting in the primary. Most people don't vote in primaries. Only 6% of Republicans did so last year. so yea I'm just saying it proves how much of a following we have and how dedicated we are.
