Ensign receives handwritten confirmation

This doesn't happen often enough.

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."

The note was a follow-up to Ensign's questioning at the markup.

Biggest draconian bill yet - I'm calling Bachmann's office and asking how to put forth a class action lawsuit against this legislation! If you have a better idea, then post it now - do not delay!

We need a class action lawsuit YESTERDAY!-

on this nonsense. This bill is very unconstitutional, and NOW is the time to legally challenge it.

This is to help the poor

so they won't be homeless when they can't afford to pay the healthcare ransom money. They'll get free food and housing in prison. See, the welfare state always has our best interests in mind.

Oh they can't throw people in jail for this

There's not enough room. FEMA concentration camps on the other hand will be open for business. It's going to be a booming industry.
