everyone was SO quick to judge this prick a messiah and voted him in, swearing that he would be mana from heaven. be that the case, then why is everyone suddenly so upset about the idea of singing hymns to him?

"The Asbury Park Board of Education has approved a measure to rename one of its elementary schools after President Obama.

The renaming of the Bangs Avenue School to the Barack H. Obama School is contingent upon a cost analysis, said Myra Campbell, the city resident who pushed for the new moniker.

The resolution, approved Wednesday, calls for the new superintendent, Denise Lowe, to assess the financial impact of the name change during the upcoming school year. Lowe will have to consider the cost of a new marquee on the school, new stationery, and filing paperwork with the state and financial institutions, among other things.

With two of the nine members absent, the board voted, 6-1, in favor of the change, Campbell said. The vote came after two members -- including Garrett Giberson, who cast the lone "no" vote -- asked to delay the name change until after a new Bangs Avenue School is constructed.

Board Vice President Greg Hopson has said it could be another three years before the new school is built and expressed concern that support for the name change would wane."

Why change the name in the first place then?

Maybe they should first of all change his name to Obama.
