Alinsky's Rules of Power
This bit on Saul Alinsky's Rules of Power came through the Tea Party Movement.
It's interesting reading
FYI: Saul Alinski's 12 Power Rules for Radicals
RULE 1: "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."
Power is derived from 2 main sources - money and people. "Have-Nots" must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)
RULE 2: "Never go outside the expertise of your people."
It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don't address the "real" issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)
RULE 3: "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy."
Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)
RULE 4: "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules."
If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity's very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

A good run down of what the men in power do to stay there
But Alinsky completely ignores the truth.
I don't know if it was intentional or not.
The truth is that human beings 'tend" to give their power away in varying amounts. It is our nature. The men in power are fully aware of this truth and design their systems to use it.
The reason so called activists have had ZERO success for the last 300 years is thorough planning on the part of the men in power.
They control world events through PLANNING. They are committed to their goal and they own the economic, media and political systems.
They start a war and have the "anti war" movement planned and staffed.
One really needs to study the failure of activist movements for the last century to establish a pattern. The socialism movement in Europe was a classic example of their techniques. They owned the monarchies and their goal was collectivism. They arranged the opposition movement and took down the monarchies. Study your history. The truth is there. Shut off the media it is who they remain in power.
They created the French revolution as the next step and instituted "liberty fraternity...etc...etc."
Our current system is just another step towards collectivism.
If a man does not recognize this, then it is the successful completion of planning on their part. We believev what they are feeding us through this simple fact:
Many of us refuse to think for ourselves. The fed is privately owned. This crime is ignored, why? Think for yourself and the answer will appear.
If a man does not agree that "they" have not only controlled ALL opposition movement for the last 300 years, but, also have been the creator of the majority of said movements then this man has not been thinking for himself...mission accomplished.
Another thing that the men in power manage are our "leaders."
Think for yourself...it is the greatest gift that God has given to each of us.
Alinsky's list is just one of their management techniques. It works because it keeps people in their emotional state, this is where we give up our power. Mission accomplished.
Emotional people do not think for themselves...watch Fox news. See how it works?
Unify
