RETURNED to reality (?) or to be more honest... I just returned FROM reality!! 6 blissful days of floating/swimming/ playing in this:

no news...no internet for over a week!! I just want to say to all of you ....with all that is going on...don't forget to take time to LIVE and enjoy life! One thing I could not tell you on the phone because of the sick kid: week of October 19th I get four days away from the hubby and kids. I'll be a week in DC with my DAR sisters at a genealogical workshop. Things end early every day, so there will be plenty of opportunity for quality time in museums, libraries, and bars, bars, bars. It ain't exactly the Emerald Isle, it's the banks of the Potomac...
That's why drinking is a good idea.

As to the DAR, I consider myself to be a member of the "radical wing." I am by far the youngest one in my chapter. And what's wrong with hanging with old ladies with a love of history and a lot more life experience than I have? Believe or it not, they are refreshingly unsnobby people, not at all what I originally expected.

this is how we used to live 100% of the time. How things have changed.
