Liberty has a smell to it...

What are you doing to assert your right to do with your own body as you wish? I know what a few brave men & women are doing in Keene, NH.

Check this out --> http://www.wmur.com/video/21132389/index.html

What they didn't say, and probably won't is this; the smell of freedom was easily identifiable inside the Keene Police lobby as several activists decided it was as good a spot as any to smoke. No kidding. Everyone walked away.

Be free. Act free.

And what a sweet smell it is

:)

kinda like a fart after loads of garlic

Just wish it kept the vampires away like in the movies

not all liberty minded people

are pot heads. Never tried the stuff, not my personal choice and don't want to force it on others. Freedom starts with being aware of where your rights start and end. Do it at home on your private property and respect others in public.

Smoking in public

is not disrespectful. These innocent people are made into criminals. Even if you don't smoke, you should break this law by possessing cannabis, just because it's an evil law.
Free yourself.

Repent, for the reign of YaHUaH is near!

oh but it is

to the non smoker who doesn't want to get a contact buzz or breath nasty cigarette smoke. I am all for the legalization of pot but if that means every dope head in town is going to force me to smoke it too by standing there next to me and toking, then I'm out. I think people should be able to smoke it in their homes and cars without having to worry about the po po knocking at their the door.

The smell of it makes me sick to my stomach. But I 'm for legalizing it for freedom sake. This is taking it too far to expect to have the freedom to blow it in everyone's face. That isn't freedom for anyone but the smoker. I want my freedom too, freedom from having to smell it and get a buzz from it. True freedom means you can do it on your private property and nobody can say a word. Once you start taking it in public you are over stepping everyone else's freedom unless you take it where everyone agrees and is also doing it.

ladalang_ I have NEVER had an individual that

Smokes weed, pot, cannabis, EVER push their weed or beliefs on me. I don't believe any of them, would. That is just a political( Mainstream Christian, Washington DC BS) upbringing. I think you should see the fallibility in your argument. No, I will not take a toke, breath any smoke, force my beliefs on anyone else. Neither will our Brethren that decide to partake. This in a non-issue. The persons that blow it in your face will just have to have their ass turned in to the fascist cops you abhor. I personally don't see that happening for most(pot smokers) people that I know are more respectful than the average god loving, bible toting, republicrat citizen. Lets remember our loving brethren here on the Daily Paul that will always respect your space. Don't you think! By the way I never breathe my cigarette smoke on anyone. I respect your life in the pursuit of life, liberty, and property.

1976-1982 USMC, You can thank me for my service by voting for Dr. Ron Paul, President 2012

Precisely why I was there, and why I participated

It's time for things to change, and I will be the change I wish to see. And I have friends who think as I do on this subject, or I think as they do. You pick.

But the change is going to happen.

You're right. I'm not a pot head.

But marijuana is as good an example as any of how the system is used to oppress people and extort money from them.

As for where your rights start and end, those people were on public property, property which is equally theirs. You mean to tell them that they can't do as they please on their property? Or are you ready to address the tragedy of the commons caused by 'public' property?

The unintended consequences of government are all around you. Boo!

If we all start acting like it's a free country

eventually it will be. That's what the kid said.....he's right. Stop recoiling from the public. This kid is right. My daughter is there this weekend, on her way home to CT now. Can't wait to hear the good news.

I just saw this today.

Next time we should all go and protest. I wish I had gone. If you don't smoke pot you could just possess cannabis, not inhale, or smoke hookah to provide a shield of support for the people smoking. Imagine if 500,000 people did this. Next time we should organize like we did with the tea parties and 9/12......and then all, together, break this ridiculous law.

Free yourself.

I don't smoke anymore

And there were plenty of others like myself there who don't smoke as well. The issue isn't pot, it's freedom to do as you wish with your own body. Interestingly enough, most of the crowd were not Free State Project members. More and more people are starting to see the truth.

The time has come. The movement towards greater freedom and liberty in our lifetime has begun.

You should come to DC on July 4th

Teaparty over here, "Smoke-in" over there. It's pretty cool indeed. There's plenty of inhaling. Be careful though, cops will QUICKLY confiscate glass bottles. They also take beer from minors and give it to the other people there. Pretty cool scene.

Yeah, because they didn't catch him..

What are you fightin' for?
Caught in the middle?
Freedom is only for those with the guts to defend it!

If the police can't enforce 'the law' in their own lobby...

Yeah, they didn't catch the people smoking pot in the lobby of the PD in plain view of the lady behind the desk, in front of the surveillance cameras. The 4 officers outside didn't see or smell anything either.

Funny how cops always seem to have amazingly acute senses of smell and sight when it's time to make a traffic stop though, huh?
