Militarized G-20 Police Take Over Pittsburgh Street; Bicycle Police Mace Onlookers
www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeYg0qCn11U
G20 police take over a section of Forbes Ave by "The O" (Original Hot Dog Shop) near the center of the University of Pittsburgh campus in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. Scores of militarized police in riot gear file down Bouquet Street from the 5th Ave side of Litchfield Towers. A handful of onlookers gather on a street corner across the street to view (and in some cases film) the odd activity. No protest is taking place and there is not a protester in sight. A dispersal order is heard in the distance, but it is not clear that it is directed at the people on the street corner. A small group of police on bicycles appear off to the right while everyone's attention is on the small army of police in riot gear across the street. The police on bicycles casually drive over near the observers, then they suddenly turn toward the observers and begin macing people in the face. A volunteer medic quickly arrives and assists by rinsing their eyes with water. The police with mace chase everyone back toward Bouquet Gardens apartments.

Dear Sheriff
I am officially requesting a response to this, as a citizen and a
member of the Central Committee. Obviously, I cannot force you to
reply. It is much the same way that I am certain you have had the
opportunity to read Sheriff Mack's book, and yet I cannot force you to
actually read it. Silence may avoid uncomfortable situations, but the
day may come when you will be forced to show where your loyalties lie
by your deeds. If you were sincere when you swore to uphold the
Constitution of the United States of America, it would be very nice to
have you say that openly, and to take advantage of the alliance you
would have with the very conservative citizens of Boise County.

This will take less than ten minutes to view. please make the time as
soon as possible. I would very much appreciate having your official
comment on this video before our October XXXXX County Republican
Central Committee meeting. The loss of Posse Comitatus and the
militarization of state and local police forces is a grave concern to
myself and other committee members. We know how the game is played. If
you thumb your nose at the Fed, they cut your purse string. I am
begging you to let them cut it, we have plenty of gold in this county
and plenty of well armed and well informed citizens prepared to
volunteer to serve the Sheriff's department. I suspect you take that
offer lightly, and it ought to be given deadly serious consideration.
We are at the brink in this world. If you can watch this video and not
be sick over the state of your nation, I would like to be aware of
that sooner rather than later. It may be time for me to put my home up
for sale.
To summarize, I want to know if you will defend my right to assemble
or will you mace me without provocation, should you and I ever meet in
such a situation? I do not approve of much of what went on at the G20,
and certainly would have protested had it been held in XXXXX County
(the people in this video are not even protesting.) While that may
seem an absurd hypothetical situation, the basic tenant is universal.
Do I have the right to free speech and the right to assemble in XXXXX
County or not?
(Yes, I really just sent that. Screw this, I want to know where he stands in no uncertain terms.)
Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
some of the videos...
I have seen from Pittsburgh are disturbing. Where are all these cops coming from?
Welcome to Amerika...papers please?
Sounds like a few
were protesting about not being able to get a hot dog. But I don't think the goons heard that . Can you imagine going out for a hot dog and seeing this? Not even a murder scene would be like that.
Thanks,
humanic. I will include this video link with the package I am taking to my local Rep this week...(I live in Pennsylvania)

You're welcome
Good idea
I wonder how hard it would be to create a distraction
Every time these clashes take place, Pittsburgh, RNC, DNC, Seattle, etc. I wonder why nobody is shooting bottlerockets fom who knows where (but obviously not the protestors), or catapulting a water balloon or two at the sonic weapon, or rolling a million marbles onto the road, something??
Smokebombs. Mirrors...show them how tyrannical they look. Marbles, dog sh*t, silly string, foam insulation, black walnuts. Lots of fun things.

Since the people here weren't protesters...
I doubt any of them expected they were going to be the target of this strike and wouldn't have thought they'd need the preparations you describe.
lol.
damn. i like how you think.
In "Rules for Radicals", Alinsky talks about a meeting
where they were discussing closing down a community center to make an opera house. The community all got together and had a baked-bean cook-off that afternoon and went straight to the meeting. As you may be aware, beans are a magical fruit. You can imagine they made quite a stink about the proposal! hahahaha. I love that kind of stuff. Or the idea from the Electric Kool Aid Acid Test where they wanted to put LSD all over the seats and hand rails at the DNC. . .can you friggin imagine??

lmao.
nice.
Glad you made a thread for this. It is worthy.
I'm just gonna re-post here my comment from the other thread:
Some have tried to justify the police antics by citing the damage that's being done by rowdy protesters to local businesses.
So...
Why were the police wasting time and resources in instances like this when there was destruction going on elsewhere in the city?
There was no crisis here. No vandals breaking windows, starting fires, turning cars over. Not even any protesters.
Why were these riot police amassing and intimidating a few harmless onlookers who appear to be doing nothing more than observing the unusual police activity?
Why attack some cameraman who was causing no problems and was merely filming the monstrous police display?
Oops, I think I answered my own question.
