Here are some high points to consider when you approach venues in your community to be a Voting Center on Oct 10.
We The People Foundation for Constituitonal Education is a 501c3 non profit educational foundation coordinating these elections.
These citizens' elections are not political but are totally American and educational, your venue would be embracing our civic duty.
This grass roots CC2009 event is NOT a Constitutional Convention, which we are wholeheartedly against as such a Convention would only serve to limit our unalienable rights. They are easily confused, especially because it's been 225 years since "We The People" have had to convene a Continental Congress.
Novermber 8-22, 2009 2nd Continental Congress in The Pheasant Run Conference Center.
Pheasant Run is located 28 miles west of Chicago in the community of St. Charles, Illinois.

I have been somewhat involved:
and have been following the goings on for a long while. I don't always have money to donate to everyone that I would like to, but have donated to this cause, and will continue to try and be as involved as I can with all of it.
I believe it is a great effort and hope for success. But I am one of those quietly hanging out in the back and doing my thing incognito. But just the same, am doing what I can to support.
I can see C4L involvement, but not DP.

I as well tried talking this up on here but seems the Daily Paul was going thru some kind of transformation where few wanted to do anything but complain.
I agree w/Paul4won.... this WAS a really good idea. I was a cordinator for a while but the communication, internal issues & elitist mentality drove me nuts.
I miss the old Paulers who could be counted on to get things done. Where did they go, I'm thinking this is the day's of LEADERLESS Resistance. We have to be our own leaders, we knew that, just got side tracked for a while.
Please see the thread on de-throning Pelosi. We can replace her with a Ron Paul Republican well if we can beat out the powers that be anyway.

Yes, the ball was fumbled
I brought this event here over and over, I know people were talking it up months before I did. At this point, it is prety much doomed. Indeed, if Ron Paul would have endorsed this who knows.... But Ron Paul could not endorse it, and he cannot even attend as a representative. no attorneys and no politicians allowed. So, no Edwin Vieira, no Tom Woods, no Ron Paul... There are not even three people nominated in my state that I would vote for. There is not one nominee who was active in the Ron Paul movement.
Sadly, this was a really good idea, but I have recently resigned my county coordinator position and moved on to my UCC1 papers. I CAN take responsibility for myself, and I shall.

I'm in Idaho
It was made plain to me by the State coordinator that they did not want me as a nominee. Not only am I a "polarizing personality", they want "famous activists." So I did not nominate anyone. I mean, really... go ahead... I dare you to try to come up with 3 Idaho "famous activists" (and sorry, Jack McLamb can't be counted. He was nominated, but failed to even respond to the notification of nomination.)
So, no, I did not self-nominate. Then I watched in dismay as a semi-famous white supremacist nominated himself...
And I am sorry, I find it utterly foolish to cut off our best counsel. The attorneys and politicians who have been in the old system are the best voice for what needs fixed.
Idaho will likely send: 1. A very sweet old man who thinks the terrorists are just about to get us and that if John McCain would have won we would be fine right now. But hey, he does a GREAT founding father impersonation! 2. The head of the Constitution Party. Now, I really respect this guy, he is the one and only nominee I would vote for. But it is merely the fact that he LOST his last race that makes him eligible... I find that an odd way to decide eligibility... and 3. Someone I have never met or heard of. If it is someone I do know of, that will only be worse (either the white supremacist or a guy that I do not trust.
So, as I said, I give up on the Constitution. I believe liberty can only be found under a monarchy. Long live this queen!

DP is not a political organization beyond
a forum to discuss and learn and grow the ideas inspired by Ron Paul. People with a wide range of views come here to discuss and learn, so I doubt the DP would officially support CC2009, though many of us DR posters will.
C4L will support it if Dr. Paul does, I'd guess. I haven't heard his views yet.

It's my belief the Daily Paul should never get directly involved in this type of political advocacy. The fragile community of thinkers could be easily fractured by this type of political adventurism. I'm not saying there aren't worthy causes, the C4L being one of them, but I hope my DP membership doesn't become a de facto consent form for joining political causes. The DP should remain a watering hole for anyone who appreciates thoughtful discussion about constitutional issues, Ron Paul, and current events.
There've been quite a few disagreements between members on the DP. Most of them healthy. Some of them... We need all of our anarchists, birthers, truthers, conspiracy theorists, republicans, democrats, libertarians, and everyone else. Once political advocacy starts creeping in the community will devolve into partisanship.
No need for unity on any issues, that just gets messy

Dont' worry. This community is not fragile, we can take it. "Political adventurism" is what makes us tick.
