Today at the Wall Street NYC Borders Books (100 Broadway) Ron Paul is signing copies of his latest book, "End the Fed." I'm getting mine signed by the MAN himself. Any other DP'ers in NYC should try to make it. » |

i was there about an hour ago...
I felt like a dork for saying that I did not go to Valley Forge but I did most of his activies while he was campaigning for president.Dr. Paul signed my book and thanked me for coming today.
I honestly was stunned that I was in front of him- I really did not know what to say!!!
(here I have a perfect opportunity to talk to the good doctor and I blow it!!! Dargghhhhh!!!)
Ron Paul says 'Hello' to the Daily Paul!
So I got up to the table where Dr Paul was signing books and I said "Your friends from the Daily Paul say hello" He looked up and said, "Thank you for your involvement. That's great, say 'hello'. I can tell you're involved and I appreciate it." All I could think of to say at that point was "Thank you, it's an honor to meet you." Then he shook my hand. It was a great moment for me and one I'll remember for a long time.
There weren't as many people for this signing as there were for "The Revolution." Maybe 150 or so. The guy standing behind me on line said he checks the Daily Paul first thing after he reads email every day. I only wish I'd remembered my camera. My buddy took a picture with his phone camera but it came out all blurry.

i'm glad you got to meet the doc and had an opportunity to speak with him a bit. you must have been so excited!
(i have gotten to hang with and speak with ron quite a few times and NEVER does the thrill go away. every time i saw him i got butterflies. it was SO exciting - like a really bad crush in high school or a rock star.)
only IT WAS BETTER - WAY BETTER!
and it always SOO comfortable. he totally disarms you with his goodness
and kindness. he's such a gentleman. he could be standing there with a 100 people waiting to speak with him and he treats everyone as if they are so special.
and you won't just remember it for a long time. you'll remember it forever!

I got a hug from him and a picture to boot! Except the guy who took the picture didn't do such a hot job. But, I got it, nonetheless. He is so real and so nice.
