How many years has mankind existed without health insurance, car insurance, the income tax, etc.. . .

When I hear these self-appointed pundits talking about we have "GOT TO HAVE" this federal program or that federal program as if the sky is going to fall without them, I started thinking - How many years has mankind existed without health insurance, car insurance, the Dept. of Education, Federal income tax, the Federal Reserve, etc.?
Let the record show we made it just fine for thousands of years without these hucksters and their money making scams! I don't know about you guys, but I believe the push back on this mandatory health insurance is going to be a great recruiting tool for the liberty movement.

And giving control of the world to the IMF?
Who's the broken brained sycophant that that thinks one size fits all?

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
From a Hopi perspective...
I'm always amused when a timeline comes up... if always shows such arrogance.
The Hopi have a history of 40,000 years or so. We've tried to tell you. You don't care.
I say arrogance.. here is why....
First, that you think you've been the first ~civilized~ people.
Second, that you think you can fix what the last 2 civilized societies gave everything to fix... but didn't. They all died too... or bombed themselves back back into the stone age.
Third, that everything you need it fix it is right in front of you.. but you don't see it. AGAIN.
Forth and finally, that earlier versions of you took the time to try to speak with you through the ages. But you don't want to listen. Again.
I take this personally because when I got my adult name, I was appalled at what I was told about the world. I thought that the Elders that told me about the really REAL world were elitist bastards because they would not give the information that they had to society.
So I took the next 20 or so years to get them to let me talk to people in modern society. You know, about the stuff that you are not allowed to know. By not allowed I mean exactly that... you are not allowed to learn my language, for instance. You are not allowed to view how I practice my religion. It is not on youtube... not online. Not allowed.
When they let me do so, I thought it a gift and took it persoanlly. I was ~The Bridge~... the one standing between old and new. Maybe we could fix this!
Fast-forward to 10 years later and I now understand what my Elders were talking about. It is not because you are not ~worthy~ or anything.... it is because you, at the end of the day, simply cannot understand it.
SoOo.. what do you do....lol.
I'ma give up my ~Bridge~ job and just plan for the future.
See you there.. :)

Um..

D, I didn't know you were Hopi
I have always admired Native Americans, their history and culture. I personally believe they have many things they could teach the world. Maybe you should offer a few fundamentals of Hopi wisdom and give this group a chance.
put that genie back in the bottle.
Mankind has always had insurance and the income tax. Put that genie back in the bottle and stop asking obnoxious questions.
Hundreds of thousands of years
That's why I laugh when I hear about people wondering how they can survive with no electricity. I think they'd be ok.

There used to be a time when people thought they had to do human sacrifices and have slaves or else their world would come crumbling down.
I believe that one day people will look back and say "How the hell did those primitive people have a government?"
I think there will come a day in the far away future when government will no longer exist. At least I can hope ;)

Add Murder, Inc. (FDA) to the list as well.

Everyone should look up the video
Murder by Injection by Eustice Mullins.
You can add the USDA too. How many years did mankind
consume unpasteurized dairy products without issues? Now we have poisoned milk products and they put you in jail and confiscate your property for selling raw dairy products.
But guess what? Obama may have just opened a door by granting vaccine manufacturers immunity form liability. Now we can bring suit via the DOJ and demand immunity for raw dairy producers! Equality! Right Obama?

got along just fine.

Mankind did pretty good until
1913.
We tend to underestimate those who lived in the past
and assume our current state is the best it's ever been.
Yeah, I tried to convince a liberal friend of mine on that
but he keeps missing the connection. Essentially he thinks that going back to the way things were before all this insurance garbage and taxes, is "old-fashioned" and therefore can't be good for us since (ok, take a "logical" leap of faith here) women -- i.e. me -- would not be able to vote.
Just thinking of this makes me realize I should go debate it further actually. LOL

Then I guess it's also the case that your friend has probably
found it necessary to discard other old rules (like rules of addition and subtraction) as they would also not be good for us? Old rules usually get to be old rules for some pretty good reasons.

doesn't think that taxes are theft.

Most people have such a limited historical perspective!
They think 10 years ago was ancient history.
Well, for me 10 years is not quite half my life ago and he's a
few years older than me. Funny thing is, is that he was mourning the fact that he (and I) weren't born 20 years prior to when we were. Think he wants to go back to the 80s.
