Getting lost in NYC

Quite the chanting - this instead!

How about singing this instead of "END THE FED!" It's a little more pleasant & more choruses could be easily added.

Sung to the tune of the old Coke song,

"It's the REAL Thing - Gold Is!"

I'd like Congress to End the Fed
And furnish us with Gold,
Mint silver coins
The Fed can't purloin
That keep our
Dollar strong!

It's the real thing
Gold IS
What money otta be
What the world wants today
Oh yeah,
Is the real thing!!

Hate to say it as I am sure

Hate to say it as I am sure it was all well intended but I found rather annoying.

And I know it was not intended as such but it almost comes across as heckling/mocking.

Mostly though just annoying. Why going around screaming around Dr. Paul of all people while he is trying to be about our business?

Not intending to offend but just offering my perspective.

R U Serious???

This is New York City! This is how you get attention. I know because I live here. These folks - including me - are passionate, dedicated, and loud! At least they get out and demonstrate their principles unlike many who sit at home or watch on the sidelines or are too afraid to state their positions. Bravo to all my fellow New Yorkers who are out there on the front lines doing what too many others don't.

If that is the way of things

If that is the way of things there then so be it. It seemed they were having a good time and if such works there in NY keep at it.

Likely just a matter of differences in culture/society between where I live and NY. They certainly are different worlds.

What works in one does not necessarily the other.

Battle on in your way in your home.

Regards

Must have been fun trying to

Must have been fun trying to converse with that racket in his ear and face. :/

Am I correct in saying that

Am I correct in saying that Dr. Paul has no bodyguard with him? I can't see any around.

Fed has it's own police.

The cops that came out of the building are not the NYPD. NY Fed at least has their own security force. Good luck figuring out who to complain to about their behavior. As a side note there are 4 or 5 dunkin donuts within a 3 block radius- for when they don't want to patronize the al Queda coffee carts.

FWIW at the protest last fall the demonstrators were not even allowed on that side of the street, let alone right at the door.

I thought the guys in the

I thought the guys in the suits were his security. It sure seemed like they were watching out for him to me. I was glad to see it.

I have to say, and I know

I have to say, and I know this won't be popular, but I'm a bit embarrassed for Dr. Paul with all those people falling in behind him chanting. It made him seem like a ridiculous Pied Piper. I think it made him seem more of a joke. I just don't see it as respectful. If he'd wanted a "protest/march" he'd have called for one.

He actually is

the Pied Piper. And I hear what you're saying but what do you expect Ron to do in this situation run away? tell them to stop? Might have been a little uncomfortable for him but nothing like Bruno. This guy should be running this Country as sure as the Towers and Building 7 were demolished. The people in this Country have to get informed. RP2012 It's a big tent and it's getting bigger.

The Pied Piper piped the

The Pied Piper piped the rats out of Hamelin. When the people of Hamelin refused to pay him for the service, he piped all their children away into a fairy hill.

I would expect for Ron Paul to do exactly what he did. Handle it all with grace, dignity, and allow them the freedom to do as they pleased.

Yes, I agree. He should be running this country, which is why I was a bit embarrassed for him. He should be treated like the statesman he is. On the other hand, I understand the enthusiasm of the people to be around him. Few have met a man of his caliper in this lifetime.

So, I guess in a way you're right. He will hopefully pipe the rats out of Washington because we will otherwise lose our children to the fairy hill.

The guy chanting/yelling "End the Fed"

repeatedly sounds like he's on drugs. It actually sounds antagonistic toward Dr. Paul to me.

It's a lesson to us all; if we're chanting, don't

be too near the camera speakers.
The one cop who turned away from Dr. Paul's offered handshake missed the opportunity of a lifetime to meet the greatest statesman of our age.

I remember when

he was so surprised that someone wanted his autograph!!

I have a black friend

whom I don't talk with often, about once a year or less, but did a couple of days ago and totally different attitude now than before. Nasty! Arrogant. Totally different. I thought, hmm, he seems to be mad at me. That is how he was acting. I don't think the black cop was racist, I just don't think he likes Ron Paul at all. He knows him and doesn't like him. That is interesting. Well, now I see it was both black cops. Looked the other way when Dr. Paul extended his hand. The jerks came out to see why he was standing in front of the building. They could have watched from inside. It had been long enough to be obvious what was going on and that it was a quiet gathering. What jerks to come out three or four to show strength. Jerks.

Good camera work. Sometimes I thought he was flying!!! Good job.

I try not to look for those sorts of things

but that hit me also. I don't want to jade myself and at the same time want to be objective but after seeing the assaults these cop/criminals made on innocent students in Pittsburgh I've nearly lost my objectivity. Good cops if your out there start reeling in your hopefully soon to be convict friends. These people had every legal right to use force in return against these savages to protect themselves, that is in statute and completely legal.

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

It could have been any of a

It could have been any of a thousand reasons. The truth is that we don't know why they didn't shake his hand. Lets not pretend to know the underlying motivations of others and just stick to our own moral and ethical guns. Ron sets such a good example.

"The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that." — Alan Greenspan

What did the cop say?

What did the cop say?

.

I think it went like this

Supporter to cops "You boys better find a new Job" as he trailed off

the cop responded with "Don't come inside until then"

Then the crowd started following Ron around screaming.

reply

I couldn't help but notice in the first part of the video when Dr. Paul turned extended his hand and introduced himself as a Congressman to the policeman ... take a good look at the reaction of the three cops nearest to him. The white policeman smiled shook his hand and was very cordial, the black policeman rudely ignored Ron when he extended his hand to introduce himself. That was a completely unprofessional if not a racist response! A copy of this video needs to be sent to the NYP Chief of Police and the Mayors office so they can identify and reprimand this officer for his actions toward Dr. Paul. I guarantee if it had been a white policeman reacting to a black Congressman in this manor it would be all over the news.

I wouldn't accuse them of

being racist, ignorant and arrogant sort of par for the course in their profession. This is just the beginning of the End The Fed.

Don't do this

When you see things like this just look the other way. Keep extending your hand to everyone, not just those who look like they might agree with you. Let the guilty liberals do the race baiting guys. The daily paulers are too smart for this.

Don't even point out the hypocracy. Don't get mad or irratated. When they shun your hand or Dr. Paul's, keep it there waiting. The hand of freedom and liberty should be extended to all no matter how hostile they are initialy.

Liberty or Death

Liberty or Death

Well Said!

Very well said! Let's keep on extending the hand of freedom and liberty!

Exactly right.

Accusing others of racism is not something anyone should nor something I imagine Ron Paul would do himself. Only those that are ignorant or brainwashed accuse their opponents of racism.

My Blog

But I think it's worth pointing out

that the pro-war mentality is fundamentally racist. We wouldn't bomb them if they weren't brown. Plain and simple.

This man has a lot of courage...

This is a David and Goliath story and I don't know how it will end.

But I pray for the safety of Dr. Paul because these banksters of the Fed are as immoral as they come and have no sense of right and wrong.

If they perceive that their existence is threatened I believe there are no limits to what they will do to survive as the immoral organization they are.

Afterall, THERE IS NO HONOR AMONG THEIVES.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

thought about this as well

Dr. Paul should have a patriot security detail for when he visits these types of places. Just in case. Especially in NYC.

Notice how they sent 4 or 5 guards out. Overwhelming show of force.

Ron is the man

cool video, best played on mute for almost all of it. Hearing one guy screaming end the fed 200 times is nice, but kind of gets a little... well
