Space Radiation. Why space travel is not possible currently.
FORGET the risk of exploding rockets or getting sideswiped by a wayward bit of space junk. Radiation may be the biggest hurdle to human exploration beyond low-Earth orbit and could put a damper on a recently proposed mission to Mars orbit. Not to mention that Mars is close to earths gravity. Imagine what it would take to relaunch off the Mars surface.

Funny that when we supposedly went to the moon it was a solar maxim year for solar radiation in 1969. Great timing.
The time frame of the "manned" lunar missions was right smack in the middle of a solar maximum, a period of high solar activity when it would have been most likely to see solar flares of high magnitude erupting from the Sun, the Soviets knew of the danger, but desperate for some sort of tactical advantage the US went ahead with the charade, here are the sunspot figures (smoothed) for the period of the Apollo program when men were supposedly "walking around" in the microwave oven on the Lunar surface, now of course we see that for humans to survive in the environment outside the VAB, they need specially shielded Astronaut shelters - but these were not available for the Apollo missions, but amazingly no crispy critters.

...no point in arguing about 9/11 or the Moon landing. Do I think both were conspiracies? I'd put my life on it. Does that mean we're going to convince other people otherwise? No, not at all. The govt won't be spending money on Moon landings, and the whole 9/11 thing wouldn't have happened if we didn't have a FED to print up money to run our war machine. So, if we follow in our leader's footsteps, we should work on getting rid of the FED, too. It doesn't matter whether we believe in 9/11 or moon landings, or whatever the latest conspiracy (fact) theory or not, but we can do away with all these conspiracies if we get rid of the FED.

You're forgetting to consider the amount of time spent...
in the VA belts.
They're not living there for years on end.
I didn't specify annual radiation levels, however, whatever
measurements we can come up with can be adjusted to fit their window through the belts and total exposure time beyond the belts. From what I have found, radiation within the belts is not a problem. I am having trouble obtaining reliable data on radiation levels outside the VAB's. When the four questions get solid answers we will have a reliable benchmark to judge the authenticity of the films and other factors.

upon further study a according to wik not all atmosphere is affected by the van allen belt if you will look at a map of the belt you will find the paralell to the rotational axis of the earth and the magnetic axis of the earth {north pole and south pole )you will find see the van allen belt does not exist .I remember watching that Tom Hanks movie apollo 13 and remember they had to wait for the right window frame in order to get back into earth this was when the ship was paralell with the magnetic axis. if you look up van allen belt on wik you can see a clear illustration of where the van allen belt is composed and how science persives it as being located.You will see the the belt is an arch around the two sides of the earth and stops or weakens at the north and south pole .Now I am no scholar on the subject but in simple terms these two magnetic fields are suppose to act as a mirror that bouces radiation back and forth causeing a clear path of space between a parellel lines between the rotational axis and the and the magnetic axis.Another words just look at the illustration and you will see a clear path to space if your space ship were directly parallel with the earths magnetic poles. Also look up L shell and it will explain it in very complicated mathmatical terms.

was sold pretty convincingly to a lot of people. when I got "EPA certified" I discovered the truth. global warming has a large following, after an instrument and calibration class I attended,I discovered everything they were talking about was within instrument calibration error.
I went on a tour of a nuclear power plant, I learned that radioactive means just that. radiation simply means a transfer of energy and nothing else. your cell phone and radio fit both descriptions.
after everything I have learned, I am skeptical of anyone, [including Van Allen] who insists on trapping us on this earth.
I know that radio frequency energy is not the same as regular high voltage power. I have done work on and for radio transmission towers. [those big towers up on the mountain}
I have learned to be very carefull with things people "pretend" to "know" about.
