Why do you only

post this information when it's down and not when it goes up? I don't understand. All it's been doing is down up down up down up for months and months. Nothing newsworthy.

dollar watching

It gave up 77.11. In the recent past this would have meant higher stock index numbers, but not today. Things are changing.

You can't lose with the Dow Jones

This game is so rigged, that maybe you can't lose, because the powers that be control it need you to keep winning, even though modestly. You've got 30 companies that comprise the Dow, and most of their stock prices are so low now, they are easily manipulated by stimulus money, which is enough to probably purchase all the common stock of most of the 30 companies. 70% of all trading action with these stocks is computer generated from one mutual fund to another. Just back and forth, over and over. A slight push up, and presto, you've got positive growth. Many of these companies don't even make a profit. If it weren't for the tricky book keeping and allowed reporting of financials, many would be in the tank. And, as a last resort, if a Dow component does go in the tank (i.e. AIG, GM) they are simply removed from the Dow index. You get the picture. P/E ratios? How can you justify buying a stock with P/E ratio of 100? The aggregate Dow P/E is over that.
