Harry Reid is up for re-election in 2010. Nevada Republicans have put up a slate of mostly RINOs for the primary. The ONLY one who embraces Liberty Republican ideals is Sharron Angle. There is a poll on this website http://www.mynews4.com/category.php?id=74
and Sharron really needs your vote. She also needs your support in the race. How badly to you want to get rid of Harry Reid? I think this is one of the most important races in the country, yet the Campaign for Liberty will not help Sharron. It's really weird. They say they have other candidates in the race & can't endorse any one person. The list you'll see in the poll does not contain anyone who remotely is C4L except Sharron. One of the candiates is the former Chair of the state party, Sue Lowden, the ________ who turned of the lights & sound & shut down the state convention when the RP candidates were winning the state delegates' elections to the national convention. She has a chance of winning the primary if YOU don't help Sharron. The Liberty Republicans in Nevada can't win this race for Sharron unless you help.

If you want to see someone who will stand with Rand Paul in the Senate, she's the only one who would in this ridiculous line-up of contenders to face Reid.
Nevada is the state that should be our entire national focus.

about defense & the middle east does not jive with us, but I think she could be influenced. Those other candidates in the race? No way. It's a matter of who do you choose of these? If you expect to find a candidate among this slate who agrees with you 100%, you'll never find him/her. This is a woman with political capital in Nevada. I do not know of a C4L candidate for Senate who has that. Can you name ONE?
So, do you not support anyone & let Harry run against one of these others who share little with us, or do you support someone who agrees mostly with us? I would like to sit down with Sharron & discuss her hawkish views. Perhaps she can be changed.

It sounds like Ms Angle is definitely someone supporters of Ron Paul should keep an eye on. However, it seems like she has a lot to learn about foreign policy, national defence, and related civil liberties issues before supporters of Ron Paul can offer her support for her campaign.
For now, she should have our best wishes. But she has to learn more about foreign policy, and we have to learn more about her.

That 12% should only be, maybe, 20 more votes. We can do it. The reason I think (I'm not speaking for Sharron here) Sharron has not come out & branded herself as Ron Paul is because she's her own woman. If you ask her about Ron, she'll say she supports him. If you look at her record in the Nevada legislature, you'll see she votes like Ron Paul. Honestly, if she had Ron Paul tattooed all over her, in this state she'd lose votes. She's better off being stealth & letting people decide about her based on her record.
Mark Amodei, who's leading in the poll right now, is not a Liberty Republican. He voted with the democrats for tax hikes in this last legislative session. He tried to shove a huge housing development in my county down our throats. He knew nothing about his constituency in his own county, and what they wanted. All he cared about was all the money he was getting from the developer. He actually stated that Virginia City was home to 35,000 people in the 1870's, and we certainly could stand to have a few more thousand more live here now. Folks, this is a guy talking about a very rural (and we like it that way) county that only has a few thousand people & has definite water shortages. His dog & pony show for this developer had slides of tracts, with paved streets & miles of lawn & deciduous trees. This was to be built in an area zoned Forest, that's full of thousand year old Indian petroglyphs & wildlife, that's ALL desert. He wanted the County Planning Commission to change the zoning. Then, when it wasn't, the developer sued! That's the kind of counsel he got from Amodei.
And Lowden - if she gets the nomination I will just hurl. If any of you had been at that state convention she recessed against the rules. If you'd seen her march out with the rest of the RINO's & take their ball to another playground....

CA hs the same problem with Pelousi. Cindy Sheehan went up against Pelousi.. Pelousi got 72% of the vote because voters wind up voting for THE STATE, not party, when a canidate has "inside power".
Still, this is a good exercize, and I'm sorry about C4L... But C4L isn't ready to go up against a majority leader.

Comparing it to Pelosi is nonsense, as Pelosi is the Democrat candidate in a WELL ENTRENCHED Democrat district.

Can someone remind me who was the senate or hose rep leader during bill clintons term that lost the election even though they were senate or house majority leader at the time.
I seem to remember this happening but wikipedia was no help.
Also all the other power hungry senators in the room want his power and so will not help him much.
