Have you ever taken a marketing class or even majored in the subject? It can take on a psychological life of it's own.
Look at the shipping company FEDEX. They have the green and purple branded in our minds. They have also become synonymous with overnight shipping. "just...FEDEX it to me".
That brings me to Obama. Watch this:
