Continental Congress 2009. CC2009 will be an historic assembly of citizens from all 50 states convening to document a formal record for the People of our government's vast violations of the Constitution and to develop a plan of action to to fight back, restore Constitutional Order and reclaim the Light of Liberty.
The Continental Congress is a real citizen level effort to restore our Constitutional Republic.
On October 10th, across the United states there will be elections for state delegates to the Continental Congress. Check out your State's details on candidates and polling places. There are also voting instructions. Check it out here: http://www.givemeliberty.org/#states
After 3 delegates are selected from each state, they will assemble at the Pheasant Run Conference Center in St. Charles, IL on Nov. 9th through the 22nd.. Their mission and purpose: They will decide what peaceful, legal steps can be taken to bring about compliance with our Freedom documents.
Meanwhile - CC2009 is raising money to convene the Continental Congress - support Liberty and donate today.

my family and I managed to fill out our ballots and notarized registration forms and mailed them to Austin, Tx where most state write-in ballots are going. Solidarity, Misnomers and Video
I am holding out hope that the titans of the liberty and freedom movements will get together and be examples of collaboration... many good mashups can come out of the CC2009... this event is not seeking any sanction or authority from anyone let alone the crooks in congress.... the people need to get wise and rise up...
example: imagine an initiative that combines the state currency depositories that the Committees of Safety envision with the Citizen Vigilance Centers that We The People Foundation envision...
or imagine the proceedings at CC2009 are also a national citizens' grand jury that establishes presentments indicting congressional members who violated their oaths of office by voting for the Patriot Act or the TARP bill... and then we the people in each of our county's take a page from Sheriff Mack and elect sheriffs and county attorneys who will take up these presentments and ARREST the crooks indicted to be brought to trial for their treason... talk about a campaign issue to run on in your county - "Elect me as sheriff or county attorney and I promise to implement these presentments!"
it is time for some pain and fear for these criminals... CC2009 can produce a blueprint for civic action that we can all take... relying on the electoral process alone is a strategy doomed to fail in the future eventually... because eventually 1 more than the half of the elected will gift themselves from the treasury to maintain power... so we have to have the strategies ready to go to backstop these moments like we have now...
The event is not about establishing more Petitions... that is a misnomer... WTP Foundation have exhausted that route... thus the question, "What is the next step for a free people?" Congress and the courts have refused to address the ultimate accountability clause, the right to petition for redress... thus a modern day Continental Congress is appropriate... it is what we make of it and whether the liberty orgs can set aside differences and learn how to collaborate strategically... we will all hang together if we continue to operate in our silos preaching to the converted... elections can be rigged... pro active mass movements by millions of Americans can't
(by the way while all this is going on... Bob Schulz and WTP are litigating the National Clean Election Lawsuit aka NCEL... an amazing development that began as a watchdog move during the Ron Paul campaign to ensure the votes were not counted in secret... Schulz has secured a jury trial in NY state over NCEL and that is a little sleeping giant too... )

I think Ron Paul has had a LOT on his plate these last few months, changing history with the Audit the Fed bill... hopefully as the CC2009 comes more into focus, he will find time to evaluate the promise and benefits of CC2009 and potentially lend his support....
Remember the incredible news conference he hosted with Nader, McKinney and Baldwin?! Would love to see Dr. Paul address the CC2009... that would ensure CSpan would be on the scene (and maybe more)...

Why isn't Ron Paul supporting The Continental Congress 2009 ?
Few know that Schulz and Aaron Russo were largely responsible for Dr. Paul running for President in 2008. Schulz has never waivered in supporting Paul, yet has been ignored in his open, humble appeals for unity.
I will be voting for the Continental Congress delegate/patriots from my state. I will join this effort because it is not only a masterful, viable plan, it is a noble advance against this tyranny, largely unsupported by those who should know better. "If you see a good fight, get in it!" Isn't it time to set personality or ideological conflicts aside and UNITE against our common enemy?
You want to fulfill your promise to unite us, Dr. Paul? Why not an open Library, Wiki/Scribd style, without sign-in, membership or donations, a place from which patriots access and contribute information? It would be an explosive information source, as the private patriot libraries springing up around the country are proving.
Such a Library would be maintained with an elected Board of Directors and as you know, we are not only a multi-talented, courageous people, we are also dedicated to our cause and give generously to support it. "Our way" is from the bottom-up, as was intended by our founders.
Unable to contain us to their agendas, those intellectuals who abandoned us, continue to discredit and attack our efforts. Squirming against Federal restrictions, they reject the action necessary to enforce their ideals, like the churches hiding behind Romans 13 to preserve their tax agreements with Evil. Meanwhile, WE THE PEOPLE endure increasing brutality. It is OUR children the state kidnaps, "paid per head as guinea kids" by Big Pharma, WE go to jail for protesting, We resist the body-armoured thugs, mandatory poisons, and a corrupt Judiciary. We call to the ivory-towered intellectuals, while yet you may, join as one of us. We have no earthly superiors. Use that God-given intellect to strengthen, educate and guide our unity, information, communication and Freedom. Hope not for another "Organization" to harness this hard-won freedom from your control. As witnessed 9/12 in Washington, it is upon individual efforts that our freedom depends.
Politics has always been bad for a Grassroots Revolution. So we remain leaderless, awaiting our leaders to emerge from among us. We distrust the "top-down" organizations; it is the tool of past failures. The Revolution supports only those who stand for unity, openly and freely evolving from the bottom up. Such is a Republic.
There is much work to be done -- fighting against the total surrender and enslavement of the USA to the UN with a vile Health Reform, the deadly mandatory vaccine, supporting Dr. Paul's Audit the Fed and his new HR 3396, Tenth Amendment (State's Rights), and anti-Constitutional legislation.
WE KEEP PUSHING... WE KEEP THE HEAT ON. We strive peacefully in civil-disobedient protests, in this Continental Congress, in resistance to deadly vaccines, WE LIVE THIS REVOLUTION...ACTIVELY, DAILY. We are an honorable, God-Fearing people. Yet, let all be witness: Whatever it takes to preserve The Remnant and our Freedom, we will do. We will cleanse this filth from our land and law. And with each fallen patriot, hundreds will arise to take his place. Individually we may not be invincible, but WE ARE UNITED IN OUR GOAL AND ULTIMATELY WILL BE VICTORIOUS.
We the people were laughingly referred to as "peons" by Tom Woods recently in Congressional hearings on Audit the Fed. An intelligent man of Libertarian views revealed a tragic flaw, however quickly he tried to mask the error. The 'elites' always reveal themselves in their attitude towards the least of us. The children of the "peons" have defenders at last.

True, they will be the delegates to the conference in November,
but others could have been nominated. In fact, one could have nominated oneself, but let's show how many folks in your state back the process by voting fairly and openly for these candidates.
This is a big huge step in the right direction
Civil, lawful, all inclusive of all states, elected delegates. This is a great effort in the right direction. Certainly would not be right to move into force without turning over this rock first.

Mark Lane, Schultz's ACLU left wing attorney, requires a high price tag... and We The People, having squandered most of the patriot's funds already sent to them over the last 10 years, on already lost battles, is out to pick your pocket once more!
Beware.. and do your "due diligence". There is absolutely zero authority constitutionally or otherwise, for his version of this process... but it is sure eating up precious time and funds of the grassroots, and with absolutely zero end result legally! Another petition will come out of this, and of course fresh funding!
It is time for real constitutional issues and battles, about removing the perfidious frauds sitting in congress, and spending precious time and resources on that which is dedicated to lighting brush fires of liberty in the hearts and minds of the precincts! There is no time for those activities which can best be described as a distraction, and an arrogant assumption that the grassroots has not engaged unless it is under the banner of WTP!

This could be the Declaration that we've all been waiting for. About time.. ..yet very close. May God grant the right timing to all efforts to Restore the Constitution.

What makes people think that "petitioning" is going to
accomplish anything?
Why would the politicians listen to you?
Why can't they just continue to ignore you?
The courts have already ruled that while you have a right to petition, government is not required to respond in any manner, much less in your favor.
What makes you think you can change this with yet another meeting?
What specific argument are you going to use this time that you haven't used before?
What specific action are you going to take that hasn't already been taken?
This is useless. Not only that, there is no reason for any government official to lend any legitimacy to WTP's self-indulgent "congress."
These delegates are NOT appointed by any State legislature. Please explain how without such appointments, or any official sanction from any currently recognized governmental authority, that this "congress" has any legitimacy at all, much less having any leverage to be listened to.

Convening a Continental Congress is just another tool in the Liberty Toolbox... and it is exactly what the Founders did when they had an unresponsive and tyrannical government.
Yes, we can try and get legislation like End the Fed through Congress - and we can have Retake Congress initiatives, and promote Liberty candidates, and have sovereignty bills and sound money initiatives, but we also must have CC2009 happen.
These are all paths to Liberty.
Let's use them to the best of our ability.
